For the six years I've been going there, Jason has always done my taxes and he couldn't be any better or easier to work with. He is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and will answer any questions you have. I've even called him in the middle of the year to ask his advice before making financial decisions. Even though they work with corporate accounts, they never make me feel like my business is less important. When I call for an appointment, I'm able to get in right away and my taxes are usually done in about a week. I love this place and the people who work there. If you are going to use H&R Block, please be very careful. Here is a summary of my experience:…read more (yes, this is actually skipping a lot of details in my attempt to be brief!) In January 2022, I gave 3 years of tax info to a preparer here in Appleton, WI who said she'd get back to me in a week or so. She didn't. In the summer of 2022, a different person called me, asking if I had info for them to do my taxes. I said I'd already given it to them and made an appt. Morning of the appt I received a call from a third person who said she was the office manager and asked if I had files to upload. I told her they already had the info. I went to my appt, found out the branch office was closed, had to call and get the address of the open office, none of which had been explained to me. I got there and was told by the office manager that they couldn't find my files. After weeks of ridiculous phone calls and excuses, I filed a complaint with BBB. They followed up with H&R Block. A month later, I checked with BBB on progress and received the corporate H&R Block response which was basically that they were closing this. I replied that I did not consider it to be closed until I got my files back. A few days later, I got a call from the new H&R district manager who said the files were gone, apologized, and asked me what they could do to help. He gave me a year of free credit/ fraud reporting. The next day or so, he called to tell me they found my files at an offsite permanent storage facility, after he asked them to return the last couple of batches of files that had been sent up. I drove over and got my files. Although I appreciate his taking the time to track them down and return them to me, I can't recommend this company to anyone. Tax preparers should be the gold standard of efficiency, security and honesty, and to me this company appeared more like lead. So if you use them, stay in close touch with them and keep backups of everything you give them.
