I have gone to Wilson eye center since the 80's. Dr Wilson has been such a blessing to me from diagnosing the shingles on my face to always taking every concern I have seriously. He truly is a doctor in every sense of the word. He cares about his patients and goes the extra mile to put his patients first. I had the opportunity to meet Ashley on my most recent visit when I was shopping for prescription sunglasses. She was super patient with me and so very sweet. She loves her job and it shows in her work. She throughly explained every step of the process to me and made sure i got all of the necessary features that my vision care allowed me. I have been been a patient of Dr. Steven Wilson since I was 13 (I am almost 51 now). He has always been professional, thorough, caring and friendly. I have had multiple health issues over the years; and on at least one occasion, he saw the change in my condition during an eye exam, and sent me to another specialist (a neurosurgeon) before the situation became that of life or death. I've been using Wilson Eye Center for the last 20 years and I can't imagine going to a different optomotrist. Dr. Wilson and his staff treat their patients like family. They give trusted advice when needed. Its easy to quickly get an appointment whether it's for any problems occurring or a routine checkup. Every visit is quick and easy. When I was trying contacts for the first time, the staff was extremely patient and gave me enough time until I could master putting them in and taking them out. When my contacts were giving me problems, Dr. Wilson gave me 4 different brands to try as a trial to choose the one I liked. I went today for my checkup and it was very good. Dr. Harris was great as always. I have to have new glasses this year and I was given to Alicia. She was so helpful in finding me a new pair of glasses and sun glasses. She did not rush me any on looking for my frames and took a picture of each frame on me so I could see what they looked like on me. Once I found the ones of wanted, Alicia made sure to tell the price and took the time to make sure that I understood every charge. She was very friendly and helpful to me. I experienced my first eye exam today. Dr. Harris examined my eyes and sent someone in to put contacts in my eyes. The first lady was unsuccessful so she asked another nurse to help her. Both ladies tried very hard (for 40 min) to get contacts in my eyes. Although, my eye muscles would not allow them to get them in, they were extremely patient and kind to me. Dr. Harris also attempted, but my eyes would not cooperate. After many attempts, I decided to get glasses. Kat was very helpful and was very mindful to point me in the right direction for frame selection. Overall, I had a great experience. Dr. Wilson has been taking great care of my eyes and contact needs for many years. Over that time, his office has grown exponentially. WEC is full of friendly and highly professional people. I would not go anywhere else. Recently I decided to replace my old, worn out eyeglasses following my regular eye exam. WEC has a large selection of frames - Cearra and Heather G. assisted me. They were extremely helpful and helped me find exactly the style that I needed. Finally, this office is run as a very tight ship. I have been a patient of Dr. Steven Wilson for many years. My vision has always been very bad but in middle age it has gotten much worse. Dr. Wilson has worked with me so that I am able to continue wearing contact lenses as long as possible without having to resort to glasses. His office has the most up-to-date vision testing equipment (I especially enjoy the OtoMap so that I do not have to contend with having my pupils dilated for hours). I had a great experience today at Wilson Eye Center. Everything moved quickly and I didn't have to wait long at all. Everyone at check in was professional and helpful and the doctor was fantastic. My only complaint would be with picking out my frames. Not being someone who typically wears glasses it would have been helpful to get some feedback on frames. I felt a little rushed to decide on a frame so I picked the first one I thought looked decent. Even just a friendly smile would have gone a long way. This is a wonderful & thoroughly professional business. I recently had a little emergency, having lost my reading glasses right before having to grade exams, and went into Wilson Eye Center assuming it would take a few days to get new reading glasses. The crew listened to my plight & sprang into speed-it-up mode. A special thanks to Katherine and Steve in the lens lab for expediting this much needed order. My boys and I love going to WEC!! From checking in to choosing glasses we are treated well. Bucky was very friendly when checking ya in for our appointments and Dr. Price and his assistant (her name begins with an A) did a great job explaining what they were doing and kept asking if we had any questions during our examinations. Today Cearra Sullivan was amazing in helping us choose frames- not an easy task for picky people like my boys and me! She was incredibly patient and offered lots of helpful suggestions. Awful! They were rude when I went to pick up my glasses. I called before because I was late going to get them but when I got there they had already broken my glasses down and said I would have to order more and spend even more money to get them! I work 12 hour shifts an it's hard to get time off so as soon as I got a day off I went to get them and was not able to get anything! Then some lady named Sherry would not give me my script even when I asked and got ugly and rude!! Will never go there again! They were over priced anyway!! read more

I have been visiting Wilson eye center for approximately 3 years. The staff is always extremely friendly and very attentive. I purchased a pair of sunglasses in January, left them in my car and when I went to put them on they broke. Kathrine, an optician was eager to help. She went over my options, thankfully I had warranty. She went above and beyond by seeing what could be done. (I was able to get a better pair and pay the difference). I am new to the area, and was in search for an eye doctor. This eye center is the best I have been too! I was prescribed contact lenses that really work for my eyes, and the medical assistant really took her time to make sure I tried on a few pairs. I have worn glasses/contacts for over 15 years and have tried 4 different eye doctors in Valdosta. I can hands down say Wilson Eye Center is the best!!
