The serving sizes here are very generous so don't let the prices scare you off. If you're a mortal with a typical appetite, you may need to share a dish with your bestie or partner else you'll definitely have leftovers! We had the cup of turkey with wild rice soup. It was flavorful and perfectly balanced with a heaping scoop of ingredients with every spoonful. The Willy Melt was a legend of a sandwich. I was blown away by the layers of action found with this item. Its a good beef patty with a perfect sear some melty cheese, thousand island, sauteed onions, and crumbled bacon all built between delightfully toasted slices of pumpernickel bread. Willy T's is way bigger and nicer inside than you'd expect from the outside. It's got that rustic, western-country vibe that works really well for the space. We came in around 5:30 on a Friday and had no wait at all. Our server was excellent! They were very quick, attentive, and genuinely kind. Service was definitely the highlight. Food was more hit-or-miss. I had the Prime Rib Cheesesteak sandwich and it was just okay. The bread was pretty underwhelming, toppings were light, and there was barely any prime rib in there. The jalapeño cream cheese ended up being the saving grace flavor-wise. The fresh fruit on the side was disappointing too because they were tiny pieces and all kind of wilted. We ordered two appetizers, shrimp skewers and brisket burnt ends. The brisket was delicious! The shrimp was unseasoned and overcooked and the sauce that came with it was nasty. The service started out on a good note. It was lunch time with three servers and no more than twelve people in the restaurant. After seating ourselves at the bar, we were immediately greeted. We ordered two beers and ice water. We were served the beers but no water. We then ordered food and again asked for water and the server said "Of course ". The server returned and we asked for the third time for water and the server said "Of course ". Finally our food came and we asked again for water. The server said "Of course " and walked away only to bring the water a bit later. We then had to wait and wait to get our bill. The menu was so promising but the food was subpar at best. We stopped and the place was relatively empty, but then again it was a Monday after noon. Place was clean and well decorated. We were greeted immediately and seated. We started with the cheese curds. They were crispy and salty delicious. The house made was ranch was the star of the entire meal. The marinara tasted like regular canned marinara. We tried the cheese curd burger. This is supposed to be fresh ground burger topped with ham Swiss and white cheddar cheese curds with garlic aioli. The burger tasted like your standard frozen burger lacking any seasoning. We also had to ask for the garlic aioli since it wasn't put on. The aioli was okayish. We also tried the prime rib cheese steak. This is prime rib topped with jalapeño cream cheese and havarti roasted red peppers on a hoagie. Again lacked seasoning, hardly any havarti and when discussing it on the way home realized there was no jalapeño cream cheese. The fries were cooked nicely with a great crisp. The Willy T's Tots were not for us. Flavor was drowned out by onions. The service was a tad slow for only a few customers but the server checked in periodically. My Partner had Shrimp Stir Fry that was completely tasteless! We had been driving 4 hours and by the Yelp ad it looked the best of our options! This place is typically very good, but yesterday when we were for lunch it was terrible. The waitress was very kind and did a great job, it was the food that was so so bad. My husband got a steak and garlic mashed potatoes. The steak was fine, but the potatoes were awful. You can tell these were old and reheated. They were both dried out and watered down. Zero flavor, just tasted like bland watered down slop. I had the chicken wrap, and it was just OK. I paid $3 extra for the tots and what I got was a pile of Charcoal. I came here because after reading the reviews it seemed either people loved it or hated it. Well, for those people that loved it, you clearly need to raise your expectations. The first thing that told me I was in trouble was at noon I was the only person there. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich. Again let me remind you, I'm the ONLY customer there. It took 26 minutes to get my plate. A plate that looked like a 3rd grader put together. A less than impressive sandwich (restaurant tip, don't ever serve a sandwich where the bun is 20% bigger than what's in it. The chicken breast itself wasn't bad, but bacon was way undercooked, the lettuce was wilted and bad, fries were soggy and everything else was just "thrown" on the plate. Also never a good sign when the bar tender, after you tell him how your meal was, fully agrees and tells you they get multiple complaints daily on the food and speed in which it shows up. I actually felt bad for the bar tender who seemed like he cared about quality. My bigger question is how does the Holiday Inn it's attached to allow this type of business to represent their brand. Bad bad business on their part. If someone in one of my kitchens sent out a plate that looked like the one I got they would not work for me any longer because clearly you don't care about quality or presentation. And I won't begin to complain about the price for what it was. All in all I would give it D-, The beer was cold and bartender was nice and he still got a 30% tip because it's not his fault the kitchen doesn't care. Restaurant tip #2. First time in my life I have walked out of a restaurant. Will never step foot in there again. The 6 of us stood by the "please wait to be seated sign" for 10 minutes in a nearly empty restaurant while the lone employee on the floor was more concerned about cleaning the one dirty table than greeting us. When I asked if we should seat ourselves, he took us to a table but made it clear we we an inconvenience to him, he never said a word just glared at us. He went to the host's stand, grabbed a pile of menus and took off-- we assumed we were to follow him. He dropped the menus in a pile in the corner of a table and walked off- going back to his table cleaning. Not a single word. We sat there for 20 minutes, he wandered around doing odds and ends while two other employees stood off to the side. We were able to overhear their conversation and it was of a personal, not work/ shift change nature. Finally we rose to leave and one one comes running over, I told her we were leaving and why, instead of an acknowledgment or apology, she responded "I just got here", - it was well after the hour and we had watched her visit for over 20 minutes. This review is for how the manager handled a situation with an undercooked pork chop. Upon eating half the pork chop, we found that it was very undercooked, practically raw in the remaining half of the pork chop. We were offered 10% off the dish by the manager by means of what the waitress told us, a measly $2. Upon asking to speak with the manager personally, he seemed too busy to care and tried to say most of the meal was eaten. Before he even came to the table, he made us wait while he cleared out another table, which to us seemed like he didn't want them to hear us complain about the undercooked food. He came back with $7 discount. We had waited long enough and decided to simply leave, but it was an unacceptable offer for undercooked food and an even more unacceptable disregard of food safety. UPDATE: Posted similar review on Facebook and the restaurant manager commented to contact them and gave me a number to their "direct line". This "direct line" took me to the Holiday Inn front desk which is attached to the restaurant. After going through about 4 ladies trying to get to a manager, the final one told me she'd find Rick for me. Well, Rick is the one we had the issue with so I hung up. I was going to let it die, but found out later that my father, who was the recipient of the dish, had gotten food poisoning after the fact. So I went back on the website and posted on their Contact Us page, left my name, number and email asking to speak to another manager. They never contacted me. I have since disputed the credit card transaction and gotten my money back. This is really a shame because really their food is typically pretty good and I can no longer support this place. read more

Don't waste your time or money. The restaurant was basically empty. However, our food order took nearly 45 minutes to arrive. The street tacos were small and dry. Then, the server explained the baked potatoes weren't cooked so we had to substituted quinoa rice. My husband's ribs were small and cold. The summer squash was greasy. And, instead of a baked potato, the quinoa rice was so bland. If it wasn't for a gift card, it would have been such a waste of money read more

We asked the busboy about things and he wasn't really clear with us about seating. So we ended up going to one of the waitresses and asked, who went ahead and cleared off a table and sat us. But I had to ask our original bartender for a drink refill, although I understand she was busy tending bar. Not impressed. The atmosphere is nice and the service initially seemed decent. However things quickly went downhill when our meals arrived. I ordered a "Kobe" style burger with sweet potato fries and my wife ordered a Reuben with sweet potato fries as well. The kids ordered mac and cheese. Both of our sweet potato fries were burned. When we pointed this out the waiter stated "that's how they usually look." He did eventually swap them out for regular fries at our request. Next I took a bite of my burger and discovered the patty was charred to the consistency of a hockey puck (was ordered medium). At this point I just had them take it back as we were running late and had to leave. The manager took the burned burger off our tab and said he would cover our kids $10 mac and cheese orders (which were fine incidentally) for our troubles. When the tab came they actually only covered our $6 worth in drinks and not the kids meals (which were $10) which was not a big deal but seemed strange since he said otherwise. My wife's Reuben seemed like it was edible at least. However to top it all off she developed food poisoning and was up all night on the toilet. Needless to say we will not be returning. read more

This was our first time at Willy T's, a restaurant located within the Holiday Inn hotel right off 94 in Alexandria. First impression, it's super easy to get to being right off of 94 with lots of parking. There are patio tables available if you prefer outdoor seating. We sat in the bar area where they have pull tabs and the tables are separated well (with regard to this being the era of COVID-19) with all the staff wearing masks. Our drinks were delicious (Bloody Mary, lemon drop martini, and a custom drink that I requested). We ordered the walley egg rolls as an appetizer which I would HIGHLY recommend because they were the best I've had and absolutely delicious. I considered canceling my meal just so I could order another round of the walley egg rolls . My hubby and I each had the sirloin special for dinner and it was prepared well, quickly, and cooked to the requested temperature, not to mention priced very reasonably. The raspberry white chocolate cheesecake was also to die for. On top of it all, our server Brittany was amazing - super sweet and very attentive, even though she was very busy. This was a great first experience at Willy Ts and I can say that we definitely recommend it and will be back. read more

They could use some pure maple syrup to finish it off - I was freaked out by the packaged syrup but the flavor was great, juicy with crispy edges. Service and coffee was top notch too!
