I even remember the two books I took out: one on volcanos and Green Eggs and Ham. Thus my love affair of the written word began. I grew up going to this library every 2 weeks for as long as I can remember. Mrs. Ferguson, the children's librarian, was my best friend. Whenever new books would come in, she would put them aside and save them for me so I would be the first one to read them. As I got older and my tastes changed, I still would go to her for suggestions. My first job at the age of 16 was as a page at this library. There are 3 libraries within this system: Willowick, Eastlake, and Willoughby. Willowick is my favorite. The circculation ladies all know me by name, and always greet me with a smile when I come in. The thing I love about this place is that it's connected to CPL and Clevnet, which means I can get pretty much whatever I want, delivered to my library of choice, within 3-5 days. DVD's, CD's, ebooks, everything under the sun. The Willowick Library, in particular, is extremely organized and friendly. Plenty of computers to use, helpful reference staff, and a nice sized parking lot. It's close enough to my place of employment that I can go there on my lunch break and pick up the materials that I've ordered. Their website is easy to naviagte and connects to the main catalog at CPL. They email you when your stuff has arrive, and then email you two days before it's due. This place gets two thumbs up from this bodacious bibliophile!

One of my favorite parts is the second hand book store offered from an outside provider, but it's super fun to pick some books out for an incredibly low price, most of them are even less than the thrift store! Anything you can think of for a library this branch probably has!

I love the fact that I can request any book in the Willoughby Eastlake library system and when it arrives at this library for pickup, I get a notification call. Everyone who works here is extremely helpful whether it's locating a book within the library or putting a hold/request on an item they are great and always do it with a smile. And when you desire the convenience of having a book with you all the time, they have many titles available for digital download via their website which are loaned to you for 3 weeks. So "book it" to this library to see what it's all about!

All I can say is, WOW. The Euclid Public Library is beautiful with its open, airy, newer construction. Access to power at almost every seat from table tops to comfy chairs. This place has a lot to offer. Large DVD collection, a special children's area , a good size separate section for teens. For a freelance professional like my self, it offers wifi, power, and spacious setting. There are even quite rooms, if you need perfect silence. We are in Cleveland every two weeks. Written by a medical student looking for a quiet study space:…read more It is a bit dark in here and pretty dated, on the first floor at least. The second floor is a nice and bright children's area. However that top floor is not really enclosed so sometimes you can hear children squealing even when you are on the first floor. There's a mid sized computer area, all with cubicles pointing in one direction, like a classroom kind of. There's a digital media section as well as a teenager section. There are No specific quiet study areas. There are not that many places to sit and study, there is a shortage of power outlets. I came in one day at opening time and for quite awhile the two employees at the circulation desk were discussing their evening at full volume so I could hear them from the other side of the floor. Also, the bathrooms are in a pretty inconvenient location, which matters for me to stay there all day. The good: it's still reasonably quiet usually. The clientele here is nice, I don't have creeps staring at me. The parking is pretty good. Overall, it's still one of my choice places to study when visiting my mom- but it is not premium for the purpose of quiet study.

I had forgotten how grand the library is. It is definitely a hidden gem. CPL is worth a visit for any visitor and local. The Superman exhibit was small but had many items of interest. The staff was very helpful in guiding us around the building. I really enjoyed the special collections that included menus from old Cleveland restaurants. As we walked around we spoke to staff. They were all very friendly. If you are going for reading material the CPL collection seemed enormous.

What I was confused about is how the books are organized because it is not by author nor by used/new. I'm pretty sure new books were placed right next to pre-owned ones on the same shelf... I asked the info librarians who sit at a station in the middle of the room about it. You don't have to bring any puzzles, or like me, I brought seven puzzles and took seven home. There are puzzles for all ages, tho mostly adult type puzzles. Kids puzzle are welcomed. I enjoyed looking at all of them and chatting with a few people doing the same.
