I sent my daughter to this recently opened in-home day care for about 4 months and that was 4 months too long. I thought there was a lot of promise from the owner and caregiver but unfortunately I was very mistaken. To my knowledge, the owner had no prior experience running a business and it showed. She did some very unprofessional things- such as give out my personal information to another parent without my consent, spoke badly about other parents to me, but what disappointed me the most about this place was the relationship between the caregivers and my daughter. There was no affection at all and their interaction seemed very cold with her. The owner became frustrated with my daughter because she would cry when she woke up from nap time, waking the other kids, and she didn't seem to know how to handle it. I gave her some suggestions, which she rejected, and told me it seems like I am unhappy with their care and perhaps I should try another place. I asked her if she even wants my daughter to stay at her place and she said she needs to think about it. Who would want to send their child to a daycare where the caregiver is unsure if they want your child there? The relationship ended at that moment and she burned a bridge with a client.
