It would have been nice to get an apology from their leadership for waiting an hour at least; I guess that's normal from what she stated

I like her holistic approach to psychotherapy, which means allowing for a wider range of techniques and possibilities in the exploration of the self. Tanya is a skilled, compassionate and very relatable counselor. She is able to foster an environment that facilitates open, honest and transparent communication, consequently creating an empathic trusting space where you are able to be vulnerable and authentic to yourself. Working with Tanya, I have been able to become more self-aware and better able to cope with the many stressors in my life. She helped me work towards and reach my personal goals. I recently moved to a different state, so I can no longer see her but she helped me in so many ways. If you are considering going to therapy, you will not be disappointed with her wisdom, authenticity, and passion. I always left our sessions feeling lighter, stronger, and more capable than I did when I walked in. I highly recommend her to anyone interested in personal growth!

Thankfully, my son told us there was something wrong with the counselor because she did not listen to his specific concerns while criticizing his family (his words) and suggesting he undergo hypnosis therapy. We reported this counselor to the pediatrician as a safety concern. We would not trust a vulnerable person with this counselor.

Their intake contact Jaimy lied about the level of contact we would have both with my partner and the team in charge of their care. This added unnecessary stress to an already stressful situation. Despite what you are told at intake, you will get no more than 15 minutes a day to talk to your loved one and they are in a VERY public space with a ton of background noise that makes it difficult to communicate. You will also NOT have regular contact with their care team. They are concerned with the home environment the patient will return to but have very little compassion for the family and do not seem to have a grasp that life outside of the facility does not get put on hold. Know going in that despite what you are told, you will have little contact with your loved one, minimal updates about their progress and care, and might hear from their care team once over the course of 4wks. Being informed of this ahead of time might help others manage a difficult situation - especially if there are children involved. It would have been a much better experience for everyone if they had been clear on the realities of the expected communication from the start.

From the very first phone call with Ashley to every staff member across all disciplines--on every shift, weekday and weekend, day and night--each person demonstrated outstanding kindness, professionalism, and genuine compassion. My 25-year-old son, who had no prior mental health history, began experiencing troubling thoughts and was later diagnosed with Type 2 Bipolar Disorder. Throughout his stay, he was cared for in a truly nonjudgmental and supportive environment. When I picked him up from the facility, he said something I will never forget: "This place truly saved my life." For that, my family and I will be forever thankful. Even after his discharge, the continued care, follow-up calls, and sincere concern from the staff have been deeply reassuring. The team's dedication to ensuring continuity of care--through multiple resources and at various levels--speaks volumes about the quality and integrity of Red Top Wellness Center. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for helping our son and for giving our family hope again. Sincerely, A Forever Grateful Mom

GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! BED SIDE MANNER IS LACKING, AND NOT WORTH A PENNY…read more Came here for medical treatment (mental health) for about a year. I was actually extremely disappointed with this facility. Not only did I feel they were overpriced, but when I questioned them on their prices, and proof of being overcharged...I was confronted with attitude from the front office. This of course happened on SEVERAL occasions. As well as clarification on their billing. I was told to pay before I see the Dr. However with my insurance they have me reimburse the practice later. Dr. Diehl's office had a policy they wanted to charge of time of service, regardless how your insurance company does it. Which was totally fine, I didn't have a problem with that. I looked at it as, I get the payment out of the way and not worry about it later. This is where the issue happened. I would pay for the visit at the time of the visit...but then I would pay again for the same visit through a bill in the mail?!?! WTH? This happened so often I ended up paying more then what I was suppose to. When I tried to discuss this with the front office (on several occasions) I was met with an extreme attitude. I felt I was treated like an idiot who can't figure out their billing system, and their policies. The lady in the front (don't remember her name) black woman in her 30's, always has an attitude, and is never polite to any of the clientele. Finally enough was enough and supposedly I owed over $100, which I knew I didn't. When discussing it over the phone with this same woman...more attitude was given. I finally had reached my limit, showed up at the office to try and figure out this billing issue. Again, the woman at the front, was so damn rude we ended up getting Dr. Diehl involved. Which then I was treated as if I'm mentally unstable to handle the issue. Which pissed me off even more! I am a mental health patient for OCD (cleaning) and some anxiety...however when you mess with someones money...anybody would get upset. That was the final straw. If you can go somewhere else I would. The front office made the experience awful, and Dr. Diehl was not all that great. Even before that issue, I always felt she was very cold and I was just another pay check. I ended up leaving and going to Strong Tower Behavioral Center. They're reasonably priced and everyone has been extremely helpful. Not only that, they're always in constant communication with you on any questions you may have.

I hate leaving a negative review, especially because there are so few reviews for this practice,…read morebut unfortunately I would not recommend it for children or families specifically looking for family counseling. We originally started here because we were told they offered family counseling. After the initial intake, we were told they actually could not provide family counseling and that the therapist would work individually with our child. We decided to give it a fair chance and continued for about nine months. After nine months, we felt our child had spent enough time working individually and that it was time to move toward family counseling. We were told that family counseling could work hand-in-hand with the individual therapy. Unfortunately, after going through two additional intakes with two therapist making us having tried three different ones at this practice, we were again told that they did not actually offer the type of family counseling we were looking for and instead suggested parenting counseling. The straw that broke the camels back was it was beyond obvious the last intake that the therapist didn't even read all the forms we completed for background knowledge before speaking with us. That was not what we were seeking. We weren't looking for someone to teach us how to parent; we were looking for therapeutic support involving our family as a whole and the dynamics we were trying to address together. Both of us have backgrounds in psychology and special education, so we felt very confident in our parenting and knew that what we needed was family-based counseling rather than parenting education. Ultimately, we feel that we spent approximately three additional months and put our child through multiple intake appointments, only to find out that the therapist we were paired with did not provide the type of counseling we had originally been told was available. I do want to mention that we had a significant billing issue at one point, and the office staff was very responsive and did a great job getting that resolved. I appreciated their help with that. Overall, our biggest issue was the lack of clarity about what services were actually offered. I would strongly recommend confirming exactly what type of family counseling is provided before committing to the intake process, particularly if that is the primary reason you are seeking services.
