I…read moreknew I needed a lot of work done within myself but I could not always pinpoint exactly what it was. The hardships I was under caused a lot of stress not just in my mind, but also in my body. Debbie is an Emotion Code practitioner who helped me release some major anxiety and tension in various areas of my body which is something I lived with for so long I became accustomed to. Much of my inner work found was trauma based. Debbie was able to trace it back to my childhood and release the trapped energies hindering my physical activities. I noticed the improvement almost instantaneously. I cannot thank them enough. I would recommend the counselors of Simply Grace to anyone needing spiritual guidance and traditional or alternative therapy.

I retained and paid for services through Peachtree Psychology involving my minor children and was…read moredirectly involved throughout the process. I participated in family therapy through the practice and attended the beginning of my children's sessions when requested. I was not a distant observer to these events. I was an active participant in the therapeutic process and had direct interactions with Susan Keenan over a period of years. My experience with Susan Keenan was deeply concerning. Information she provided in connection with my family's case did not accurately reflect the facts as I understood them and, in my view, contributed to a false narrative that had serious consequences for my relationship with my children. What makes this particularly troubling is that when Ms. Keenan made statements to the Guardian ad Litem regarding my family, it had been approximately six years since she had last treated my children. During those six years, she never contacted me to discuss concerns, verify timelines, review documentation, request updated information, or seek my perspective on events she was commenting on. I had previously communicated with Ms. Keenan, and those communications were positive in nature. In written communications, she described me as a positive influence in my children's lives. My prior interactions with her gave no indication of the concerns that were later attributed to her opinions. Despite having my contact information and having worked with me directly in the past, no effort was made to gather information from me before conclusions were formed and shared with the court. When I later provided documentation that contradicted key aspects of the narrative being presented, I saw no indication that those discrepancies were meaningfully addressed or corrected. More than two years after I posted my original review, that review was challenged and removed despite the fact that I retained and paid for the services, participated in family therapy through the practice, attended portions of my children's sessions, and was directly involved in the matters being discussed. The fact that a review was challenged years after it was posted does not change the underlying facts of my experience. Mental health professionals who become involved in family court matters wield tremendous influence. In my experience, that influence was exercised without adequate fact-checking, without input from all relevant parties, and without the diligence such serious matters deserve. Parents and courts alike should expect opinions to be based on current information, careful verification of facts, and a willingness to hear from all relevant parties before conclusions are reached. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Peachtree Psychology.

It was a huge decision for me and not inexpensive. Of course, I knew that I would need to adjust and it took about a week to feel comfortable. I was so impressed by the kindness and devotion from the staff. They worked long shifts but always made us their priority. Mr. Chase, Mr. Jordan, Miss Mary and too many to name were so friendly and respectful not only to me but to all of the patients. Dr. Fiegel was my Psychiatrist and he was beyond brilliant in nailing down my diagnosis and prescribing the proper meds so that I could sleep for the first time in years. I slept a solid 8 hours on the very first night with my new medications. The Internists Dr. Pham and Dr. Patel also made sure that we stayed healthy. The Social Workers and the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner went above and beyond to make sure that we had the therapies and meds to make us feel better. I was especially fond of the group therapy and learned many tools and skills to excel in my personal life. A big shout out to the Social Workers and to Mr. Michael who brought a wealth of experience to our groups. His ability to communicate with us and show compassion was so welcome and appreciated. It was the BEST decision of my life and I am so glad that I admitted myself for 30 days. I had been struggling with anxiety, depression, insomnia, PTSD and knew that I needed this level of professional care. I cannot say enough about the staff and Director, Mr. Magner. Everyone was kind, professional, focused and skilled in their mission to change our lives for the better. The food was adequate and filling but there were a few blips. The Chef went out of his way to make sure that the meals were served properly and it is my understanding that the food has to be catered from a vendor until they get a license to operate the kitchen. No big deal. We never went hungry and there were lots of high quality snacks, fresh fruit, juices and water whenever we wanted it. The patients were incredible and came from all walks of life. We supported one another and I was touched by their friendships and stories. It was extremely difficult to leave when the time came. All of us were equals and had the same goals. I was especially fond of the emotional support dogs that some patients brought with them. We loved taking turns walking and playing with them. One in particular was Theo, a Labradoodle who loved everyone and even stayed in some of our rooms. It made our stay incredibly meaningful. Feeding him crunchy, sliced apples was the highlight of my stay. Sylvia Brafman changed my life forever. Was it perfect? No place is perfect. The Georgia facility is new and has some growing pains but they are doing everything they can to make it a place of healing and transformation. Thank you for making my life better and my future journey a lot easier. I will be forever grateful.

Their intake contact Jaimy lied about the level of contact we would have both with my partner and the team in charge of their care. This added unnecessary stress to an already stressful situation. Despite what you are told at intake, you will get no more than 15 minutes a day to talk to your loved one and they are in a VERY public space with a ton of background noise that makes it difficult to communicate. You will also NOT have regular contact with their care team. They are concerned with the home environment the patient will return to but have very little compassion for the family and do not seem to have a grasp that life outside of the facility does not get put on hold. Know going in that despite what you are told, you will have little contact with your loved one, minimal updates about their progress and care, and might hear from their care team once over the course of 4wks. Being informed of this ahead of time might help others manage a difficult situation - especially if there are children involved. It would have been a much better experience for everyone if they had been clear on the realities of the expected communication from the start.
