My kids are older now, but we used to play here often pre-renovation. They did a beautiful job with the renovation. I come here twice a week to take a Nia dance class through the Park District of Oak Park. The space is perfect for the class. Always clean, well-ventilated, the water fountain works, all of the equipment is in good working order, and the teacher, Andrea, is the best!! Masks are required to come inside, and there is a Park District attendant at the door of the building to ensure that the mask requirement is complied with, which I really appreciate. Stevenson Park is a great place to take a class and a super spot to run around with the kids a bit! There is some free street parking along Lake, but make sure you follow the signs. I think only one side of the road (the south side) is free. I saw someone getting a ticket for parking on the north side of the road yesterday.

Just right next to the outdoor playground is a basketball court and a skate park which are kept in great condition. What surprised me most was the concrete ping pong table and the checkers/chess tables as an extra bonus for older visitors. If you're looking to escape from the cold weather the Cubhouse indoor playground offers warmth and a spacious playroom for $5 per child (adults are free).

I owe a lot to of gratitude to ECC. I first attended here when I was kicked out of the University…read moreof Illinois Urbana-Champaign for academic probation. Then a few years later, after I was kicked out again, I came here humble and looking for a fresh start. I stated by taking photography from the late John Grady, a mentor, a friend, and an inspiration to me and many others. He was an advocate that lead me to be recognized as the artist of the year by the local paper. Because of this momentum, I ended up attaining three associate degrees from ECC: graphic design, general arts, and general science. The faculty was supportive and communicative, especially in the design department. The onsite computer lab, library, and study areas were great places to work outside of class. Even the cafeteria was reasonably priced and had many options. Administratively, everything was seamless and easy to navigate. I met with humans a few times, but overall, much of the process is online. The only reason for the missing star is the inconsistency of skilled and practicing adjunct teachers. I had a few that were away from their fields for over 20 years, which made some of the knowledge outdated. But I guess all schools have that issue. I highly recommend ECC for everyone!

My expectations were met and exceeded. I had the beef tenderloin sliders with seasoned French fries. While not the best food I've ever had, they were cooked well and had a good flavor to them. They were not dried out as I feared. The French fries were good and didn't need ketchup or any other sauces to enhance the flavor. One recommendation that I would make is to add some more signs pointing where to go or how much the food costs.. To someone new to the cafeteria, it was not clear where to go or what was being offered. Overall, the food at Elgin Community College was pretty good. I will go back and try more.

It was affordable as opposed to some other places. It was perfect for a 12 year old boy's birthday party. They take care of ordering the pizza and are very easy to work with. If I could change one thing, it would be that drinks are either provided or we would bring our own in. All of the kids had a great time!

Very disappointing soccer club! They care more about your money than they do your child. My…read moredaughter played for Roma for a few years. In that time, she was moved from one age bracket to another ( because they couldn't retain players from 2009 and the majority of the girls left), had her team broken up into two teams ( the white and orange teams, when one had a game, the other missed practice & had no game), then brought them back together only to have SEVEN girls leave the team. Roma lacks in communication and transparency. They lost their boys premier team because they couldn't retain those players either. They advertise that each team will receive 2 practices per week, however, our last 8 game season, had THREE weeks where they only had one practice for the week with no make-ups. They do have an indoor facility but since they started using the indoor facility for rec, travel teams rarely get to utilize the inside when there is inclement weather. They also advertise that they have a winter season, and they do, but you will be playing the same two teams over & over. If you are looking for a club where your child will grow and develop, your money will be better spent somewhere else!
