I thought it over, and despite everything that made me unhappy, my overall experience was worth…read moreevery penny I paid for. And this Doula is very kind and patient.

My experience was wonderful. Due to severe pre-eclampsia I found out at my 37w apt that I need to be induced asap. Brieana was called and she dropped everything and I mean everything to drive to the naval hospital at Camp Pendleton. My husband was deployed during this entire time and I was in desperate need of a guiding light. Brieana knew my wishes to have an unmedicated/natural birth and helped me overcome the pain so I had the birth I wanted. brieana stayed the during the entire process, even notifying me when a new nurse had uped my pitocin by several levels without telling me !!! She was by my side to give me a massage, breathe me past pitocin surges and she made every person that came into my room read my birth plan! This woman even was calm when my waters broke on her ! Brieana is amazing. She helped me to have my baby latch immediately, also one thing I'll never forget.... she said to me " im not leaving here until you tell me you feel safe " That is a big deal, something I needed to hear. She also checked in on my baby before she left ( my girl was in a SIU for an evening). Following birth, Brieana checked on me almost daily ! She took my placenta home to encapsulate and she delivered them to me the very day I was home from the hospital. She typed out a beautiful birth memoir for my daughter and shaped a part of her cord into a heart for her baby book I feel Incredibly blessed to have had Brieana as my doula. She is very caring, knowledgeable and dependable. I mean, she even had me laughing during some of my most painful surges ! Should I ever be pregnant again, I would want Brieana by my side.

This place is running a scam. They will tell you they can't get the imaging they need in your first…read moretrip (why the hell do they even have the fancy ultrasounds if you need to make two trips, or maybe they need better techs - either way, not sure why I am paying the price for their lack). We set up the second appointment (of course we did; I am a first-time mom who just wanted to ensure my baby's safety). I wasn't billed for my first appointment before I went to my second, so I was unaware this place was not insured (assumed that because it was through Allina that it would be (Allina was where I saw my regular MD previous to baby, and everything was insured)). Still, I have come to terms with the fact that it was my fault for not checking. I have since been charged $1200 in facility fees ($600 for each appointment) and $1200 for the establishing patient visit and ultrasound fees ($600 for each appointment). I am out $2400 out of pocket for what was supposed to be one ultrasound appointment. It was only two because they couldn't get what they needed. I am so upset. None of it went to my deductible. I have learned so much about this scummy healthcare system and feel like I was taken advantage of because I wanted to ensure the health of my baby. I feel naive. At the second appointment, they took the three pictures they could not get during the first appointment, and we were on our way. I don't understand how they could charge me the same price for that 10-minute appointment and a $600 facility fee. MAKE SURE you check your insurance coverage before going here. I wish I could say I am the only person this has happened to. I was venting about insurance with the front desk at my OBGYN, and one of the schedulers had the EXACT same thing happen to her; she had to go back twice because Minnesota perinatal couldn't get the images they needed, found out both appointments weren't insured, and had to pay out of pocket. This is why I am speaking out. I don't want this BS happening to other families who are already under a lot of financial pressure with the coming of a child.

If you are looking for someone who is compassionate, calm, and full of wisdom, Terri is the one for…read moreyou! She was such an important part of my pregnancy and was a key factor in my birth going so smoothly. I'm so grateful for Terri's presence during this season of my life. I felt like I had my own personal cheerleader! During the final weeks of pregnancy, I was facing a lot of stress and grief from losing a family member, and Terri's calm, gentle presence (along with her strong Christian faith) helped me navigate it all. I don't know how I would have done it without her. She provided clear, evidence-based resources and thoughtful hands-on guidance on positioning and exercises to encourage my baby to flip out of her breech position. When my baby wasn't dropping (which was hindering my body from going into labor), Terri shared a variety of techniques to support optimal body alignment which worked so well. Terri is quick to respond and truly listens. I never felt like I was bothering her; she checked in on me frequently and has continued to be a wonderful resource even now that I'm postpartum. Her genuine excitement about birth, babies, and empowering families shines through in everything she does. I am so thankful for her!
