Twin Cities Midwifery offers personalized, safe, and empowering maternity care provided by Certified Professional Midwives and Licensed Midwives. Our services include prenatal care, homebirth (including water birth), postpartum care, and newborn care throughout the Minneapolis and St Paul area. Because continuity of care is one of our core values, we have you meet all of the contracted midwives on our team so you can decide which one you would like to have as your primary midwife throughout your care. Our office is in South Minneapolis.

Meet the Business Owner: Kate H.
Kate Saumweber Hogan is a certified professional midwife, licensed in Minnesota and Wisconsin, and the owner and founder of Twin Cities Midwifery, LLC.
She is a 2010 graduate of Bastyr University's Department of Midwifery, formerly Seattle Midwifery School, a rigorous academic program coupled with lengthy practicum requirements. Prior to becoming a midwife, she was an experienced birth doula, postpartum doula, and nanny.
Kate believes in the natural process of pregnancy and birth, the intuitive wisdom in each person's body, and that every growing family deserves the support of midwifery care. She believes parents are the best decision-makers for their families and that her role is to provide options and help clients learn about their choices. She is honored to witness couples grow into families, children become siblings, and the power of birth.
