It's a great view of the bridge and the river. Massive outdoor deck space to accommodate whoever you bring. Be aware, this isn't a Fairfield. The Riverboat is unique, but the rates are good and the rooms are clean and comfy. We will go back.

I'm seeing mixed reviews for this place but I had an awesome experience. I would go check it out…read morefor yourself if you are skeptical. Came in here on a Friday afternoon, pretty dead inside (to be expected at 3pm on a weekday) but it started to pickup after the work crowd started to clock out. Good beer selection and insanely cheap drafts/pitchers! They had a good selection of appetizer we munched on hanging out. Spinach dip & fried mushrooms. I don't know what the mushrooms are filled with but they are basically crack. I wish I had two orders. Fried to a crisp and a cream cheese something inside made them so desireable. If you order nothing else here get those mushrooms. And then send me some while you're there. Was able to chat with the owner and ask a bit more about the hotel itself. It has 12 rooms, all of which have not been used in about 10+ years. They are slowly in the process of renovating all of them so that they can have these able to be rented out again. I would love to come back and stay when they are completed!

The restrooms are tidy and well kept. The kitchen was a useful resource as well. The architecture and design are very attractive; it's a historic town, so many of the buildings are Federal style architecture. The staircase is well kept and the artwork inside is beautiful. It's a great little spot to host about 40 people comfortably. There is a beautiful fountain just outside the building and many shopping and dining opportunities within walking distance. They also host a farmers market next to this building, on Broadway Street, Saturday mornings.

Such a cool hotel…read more.. I come to Madison for work at least once a year and always stay at this Marriott... Arguably one of the nicest Fairfield's you'll ever find. This place was an old cotton mill that they redesigned into a vintage yet elegant Fairfield (they probably could have/should have made it a JW, it's that nice). The staff is always friendly and accommodating and the location is perfect... Situated right on the river with great scenic views and a short 5 minute walk to all the excellent restaurants and watering holes on Main St that Madison has to offer. If coming through town for work or for leisure, this Fairfield Inn is the place to stay.

We loved the high ceilings in the rooms, the on-demand coffee station, and the elevated continental breakfast in the morning (fritatas, potatoes, egg mcmuffins). While it is (slightly) off the beaten path, if you are up for a nice walk it is still totally walkable to the city.

I loved the inclusion of locally made goods, like: the hand soap, chocolate truffles, and coffee they had available in the room. It was quiet and peaceful and a quick walk to Main Street. I loved learning about the history of the building and seeing old photos too. They also had a sound machine, which came in handy for us since I forgot the one my toddler sleeps with. You do have to make sure to memorize your key code or bring your phone everywhere (which most people do all the time). The lobby is key code access too and I almost got locked out once - whoops! We are already looking forward to our next stay. Their practice of not having an employee who customers meet face-to-face and instead using text/email for entrance instructions is probably off-putting for some (it initially was for me), but their system works just fine. I encourage you to not be intimidated by it.
