Though options were limited in the area, their coordination & suggestions allowed me to obtain the private autopsy I wanted. Their communication was consistent & they made themselves available by phone. They offered smooth transportation to STL at a reasonable cost. Moreover they offered the option of cremation at a site in STL for the same price (rather than return transport). Their kindness, compassion, & attention was so greatly appreciated. I look forward to their referrals as I anticipate similar care & consideration. I do hope you will consider trusting Fraker Funeral Home with any final arrangements.

This funeral home is a joke! They handled my father's cremation and memorial service. We have never…read morebeen in a position where we had to set up services for someone before. We did not know we had to ask for his belongings he had on at the moment, we thought they gave you those belongings. My father had a belt we dearly wanted back, but they sent it to be cremated with him. That can never be replaced, they had no right to do so. After the memorial service we were spending time with Family reminiscing about my dad and they were literally pushing us out of the funeral home and locking the doors behind us, with our belongings still inside! I had to knock on the door to get back in to get our things. I do not recommend these people to anyone. They have no sympathy or compassion, you're not a grieving family to them, just dollar signs!

My family was treated horribly by the people at Yarbers. Our family member passed away. He had…read morealways said he wanted to be cremated. We made arrangements with Yarbers.Things went okay during the first meeting, but once we swiped that credit card, things quickly went from bad to worse. Maybe they were disappointed that we held the Memorial Service at the church instead of paying Yarbers to hold it at their facility. It took them ten days to get the urn we ordered. During that time we never received a call from them. And when we had to call them to find out what was happening with the delay they were always rude and made sure we knew we were bothering them. I called to find out when we could expect the death certificate because we had legal matters to attend to. They were very rude to me and actually complained that they had to send a driver to the Health Dept. to pick it up. He actually said "We have other services we're doing", implying that they were just too busy to finish their obligations to our family. In every instance they treated us in a rude and degrading way. The next day I called the Health Dept. to see if I could pick up the Death Certificate myself since Yarber's wouldn't give me a definite answer as to when they would get around to it. A short while later, one of Yarber's employees called my house and, when my teenage son answered the phone, proceeded to chew out my son over the call to the Health Dept. A teenage boy who had just lost his father was berated by am employee of the funeral home. My son was so upset he hung up on the man. Two minutes later the phone rang again, the same nasty man was calling back. I answered and he started insulting my son to me. His arrogance and lack of compassion was astounding. We finally went to pick up our loved one's remains at Yarbers. They didn't take us into the office as you might expect. They had the urn sitting on a side table in the lobby, with the death certificate tossed next to it. The two men stood cold and completely silent as we signed the release form. Their only words to us were "Print your name underneath so we can prove we gave you everything in case you try to sue us". That's it, that's how they turned over the remains of our loved one to us. It was the most degrading handling of the situation possible and I know they made it that way on purpose. Do yourself and your family a favor and find another funeral home. We are still in shock over the cruel and disrespectful way we were treated. They made a difficult time even more stressful and painful than it already was. There's a reason why there are 6 reviews of Yarbers on Google and 3 are one-star reviews.
