Apparently, the animals are kept in the back of the thrift store so, if you can get past the smell the bargains are amazing. My husband bought some sort of light thing, my son got a nerf gun, a sling shot, and I got a beautiful wagon wheel light fixture and we paid $3 for everything. So excited to take my goodies back to Texas! :)

It's in an old metal building that is split down the middle and the other half is a Walgreen's pharmacy. Mountain View's "downtown" is so tiny that I am sure you will find it if you just drive around a little (that's what we did). Staff was friendly and prices were low, but the merchandise seemed to be a very mixed bag. I know thrift stores are only as good as the donations they receive. I have a feeling if I lived in this area I'd visit often and find some treasures but on my one visit I didn't see anything suitable for me. They did have quite a bit of up to date clothing and shoes, especially for kids and teens, and magazines arranged so perfectly I almost hated to touch them! ha.

I have been dealing with Gammill Sewing Center since 2007…read more They have always been courteous and attentive to listening to issues with machines. I travel almost 500 miles to have them work on my machines after experiencing a repair shop where I live, who said they could work on Janome machines. After they worked on it locally, Gammill had to replace the entire tensioniing system. Unlike the other reviewer, if I haven't heard within a week, I call. Having been there at different times, I know how busy they can get and adjust my time with this. I have also learned to call ahead and make an appointment for them to clean and check things out.

I had a very poor experience with this establishment. Upon recommendation from my local sewing…read moreshop, I drove an hour to this place to have them fix a sewing machine I inherited from my grandma. The owner of the store was very pushy and tried to sell me some very expensive sewing machines. I humored him for a while until he started asking rude and inappropriate questions about how much money I make, at which point I told him I needed to get going. After he realized he wasn t going to sell me a new machine, he turned me over to a very inexperienced young male worker to fill out paperwork, answered the phone, and never talked to me again. The store fixed my machine, but they never bothered to call and let me know it was finished. Six weeks later I called, and they said I could pick it up. When I got there, they actually lost the box of attachments that I left with the machine. They claim that they never had this equipment, but I suspect it got lost when the younger man took my machine into the back. They said that they would call if/when it turned up, but of course they never have. I would strongly suggest you take your business elsewhere unless you need to buy a very expensive machine designed for quilting.
