We just had a chicken and avocado toasted sanga and it was quite nice and just hit the spot to tide us over till lunch. The place was packed as you would expect of a good cafe on a Sunday morning. The service was a little slow but I'm not surprised as there was quite a few people in the cafe and outside seating. But still happy with the service and time it took to get our coffee and food. I will admit that there has been an enormous improvement from the previous owners (decore, menu and service) my eating experience left me bed ridden for 3 days. My very pricey ceasar salad arrived with limp, slimy leaves and a sweaty side of dressing. The chicken needed to be rehydrated with steady gulps of water. It was obvious that my order sat under the heat lamp for far too long. I should have been honest and sent it back, instead suffered my greatest case of food poisoning ever. Will I condemn the new kid on the block? No. They can do a decent coffee and I am grateful they keep the machine on later than most. Though dining as a family it was an environment equally suited to a brunch with the girls, date or casual business meeting. The menu is full of your usual brunch items with creative and delicious twists. Their take on chicken and waffles was AMAZING. Every element perfectly complimented each other. The waffle was dense but filling and tasty, the coleslaw light and fresh and the popcorn chicken seasoned and cooked to perfection. A+ in terms of originality and deliciousness. My husband went with the B Man's Brekkie - think upmarket big brekkie but with a wonderful kick it flavour. Highlight of the plate was the corn fritter - if hungry this plate is for you but if not the fritters alone with sate your hunger. If you're a coffee snob you won't be disappointed.
