I'm a week late with the review, but I enjoyed the outdoor seating and cheap food at Willie Beamon's while I was staying in the Fox Valley for the weekend. It's connected to a baseball field, has excellent outdoor seating with a pirate ship bar, cheesy '80s tunes playing in the background, and good service albeit a very busy place. I find this to be one of the few places in Wisconsin that offer free drink refills -- most other places charge per refill if memory serves me right. Best of all: they have FREE popcorn! With the huge appetite I have sometimes, free popcorn is a must! My only real complaint was the wings themselves -- you only get wings; no drummetes. From a flavor and price standpoint, they were great. I also loved the fries, which were skinny I wasn't disappointed by Willie Beamon's at all. Great for one with a huge appetite and some gathering with friends. I'll likely return next year. ;) read more

Food is good but the service is TERRIBLE! Since the new ownership there doesn't seem to be enough staff. I have been there several times since the new ownership has taken over, and each time it has gotten worse. Last night when I arrived, there was an older couple that had already been in there, waiting to order something. They finally moved up closer to the bar in hopes they would get service. I even stood up at the bar to get a drink and could not get the attention of the bartender/waitress. The same girl tending bar was also trying to take orders out at the tables but the place was very busy and required more staff. After being in there for approximately 20 minutes and seeing that the couple that was in there before me still hadn't been waited on or been able to get service of any kind I left. This is very sad as this is a very unique place. If this kind of service continues, they will not stay in business. At this point, I would not recommend this place to anybody because of the poor service. So sad!!!!! It use to be be the best place to go. The weather was great, it's still summer, and the outside bar wasn't even open. That bar is one of the nicest attractions and what makes that place so unique! read more

WB's was a fun bar with great staff but due to emotional decisions by the owner, who is usually wasted, most of the good bartenders are gone(fired). The one's who remain are afraid to have fun and engage with customers when the owner is present due to fear of losing their job. Much better place/atmosphere when the owner is not there. DISRESPECFUL to women, other nationalities and just doesn't get it. Don't disagree with him though...he may tell his gf not to serve you. For me this place has been an after work happy hour stop for the last couple of years. The drinks and food are inexpensive. The pizza is ok. The bartenders are, how should I put this, female, attractive, and dress in modern styles. We've had several work related parties here. Greasy, tasteless bar food. I think they deep fry the napkins. This place is a mix of sports bar meets country truck stop. I don't know where they get the bartenders (ex-dancers maybe) - but they pretty much all have an attitude (as in not very friendly). This is a fun bar and grill, located in the middle of nowhere. Just when you think you're heading out into cow country, you'll see the turnoff into their parking lot! It's worth the drive, because Willie B.'s is the place for a great meal, drinking and socializing, or playing some bocce ball or horseshoes outside off their beautiful wooden deck. There's a softball diamond, too! And some of the friendliest (and most scantily clad!) bartenders around. For dining, I recommend any of the burgers (I prefer the California Burger), the Wings, the Chicken Quesadilla Rolls, and the Perch Platter. Willie's is famous for its wraps, as well. The only dish I've been disappointed in were the Loaded Nachos - someone in the kitchen was a little heavy-handed with the shredded lettuce, and I spent more time picking it off than actually eating the chips. We are long time fans (over 15 years) of this place so it hurts what happened today. There were 10 people in the bar today when my wife and I stopped in for a few beers this afternoon. We sat down and the dark haired bartender looked at us and continued talking to a couple and writing things down in some book. I tried to make eye contact for 5 minutes with the female bartender until the wife suggested they didn't want our business. I then got pissed off and tried to wait her out...... We left after 10 minutes and I waved at her on the way out and got a sneer. To the new owners of this place, pull the tapes this afternoon 430 to verify what happened and address that situation. I used to love the attentive service at Willies but with today I might never return. There are too many bars in Neenah that have good service to get ignored and not get a drink. read more

Friend took me out for my birthday. Had the Shrimp and Perch dinner. Clan chowder was home made with perfectly balanced flavor. Breading was slightly heavy on the shrimp but still very good. Perch was perfectly breaded and perfectly fried. Friend said his burger was very good and that he would come back just for a double order of their sour cream and chive potato wedges. The service was only slightly slow but I honestly don't think they could have done much to improve it. They were just so packed. It is Friday, during Lent, during March madness in Wisconsin. And some of the customers that have complained about the vicious dog are probably afraid of a chihuahua. The dog loves everybody and has been a fixture of the place for years. read more

Great hole in the wall kinda bar. I'm 25 and its a place I feel comfortable in. Food is fantastic, service is okay but you getting your own refills isn't a big deal since you can do things and not wait for someone else. The owner is cool. He came right up and introduced himself. Wow. I've always like beamons. Went there for lunch today and the service was absolutely terrible. I sat for a few minutes waiting to get the initial contact to order a beer. No big deal. After that I sat for about 10 minutes waiting to order lunch. My waitress "sue" I believe was busy doing the books and paying some guy with a beamons shirt on and talking to him. The guy elunch next to me told me to "just throw something at her". Needless to say I did not. The other waitress with a packers jersey on walked by me texting on her phone. Never asked if I wanted to order. Finally a cook who was cleaning tables came up to me and asked me if I would like to order food. He said he would make it for me and I thanked him. If I didn't get a beer already and owe money for it I would have left. Absolutely terrible service today. He brought me my food and apologized for the waitresses. Unreal. "Sue" never did come to take my order. The cook had to tell the packer jersey girl what I ordered. As I'm sitting eating my lunch, "sue" isn't anywhere to be found, and packer girl hopefully has an unlimited texting plan. read more

Been there on a number of occasions, primarily during work lunches. Love the variety of options and the food is, for the price, very good. The place changes in attitude and satisfaction on the weekends though. The ridiculous owner blasts music beyond comprehension (the waitress apologized over and over again, said she told the waiter customers weren't happy, but nothign would be done), lets his dog roam the place (isn't that a health code issue) and is so drunk every 5th word is vulgar). I brought my family there because I had talked the place up so much and left embarassed I ever mentioned it. I won't go back but I bet the drunk owner doesn't care. love the softball leagues out there. Eric does an amazing job and the score keeper is amazing. Beamons wouldn't survive without softball. When we go in during no softball days the place is dead. During softball the bartenders are always moving. Food is great. Only wish would be the bartenders would be more on top of things verses ignoring the customers. Menu prices on internet DO NOT REFLECT MENU PRICES in restaurant. Ordered a shrimp & perch menu which is supposed to contain 4 shrimp and 4 perch and was shorted 1 perch in each dinner ordered(2). Cook justified it saying perch pieces where larger than normal so they shorted both dinners on purpose. I can't justify paying the price of their fish when I don't get what I'm paying for. I don't trust the owners Chris or Dave for anything! I'll sum this up quickly by saying the fish was decent but the service was laughable. The long of it is that we went for fish on a Friday night, I get it, Fridays are busy, but that's not an excuse, it should be expected & accounted for in advance. We arrived & we were seated right next to the door everyone used to go smoke which was drafty on a February night. Again, it was busy, it was the only table, I get it. We ordered drinks & looked over the menu. A second server came & asked what we'd like to drink, we already ordered drinks, not a big deal. Immediately a guy came with food & asked who had what, we hadn't even ordered yet, not our food. We all ordered different fish eventually. A waitress then came and asked if she could prop the door open since her thermostat said it was 89 degrees, we said the draft was quite cold & we'd rather not, she propped the door & said we could close it if we want, we dealt with it. A server came with our food & first told us he didn't know what was what and literally laughed, he repeated that it's all fried and he had no idea what was perch, Alaskan white fish, or walleye, he again laughed and walked away. The ranch & extra coleslaw we requested did not come. The fish was decent, the fries were soggy & nobody ate them. We were hoping to get a second round of drinks but nobody came, I went to the bar & was told it'd be a second while he filled others drinks & chatted others, I get it, it's busy, I finally got some else's attention & got our drinks. When we asked for our bill we had separate checks, I put my card in my bill, & she put her card in her bill. When we got our receipts the bills were swapped & charged backwards. We figured we'd just pay that way & be done with it. The bottom line is that there were a lot of small screw ups, no communication between employees, & not a great experience. I don't want to be completely negative, so I will say that the prices were good, the fish was not awful, & one of the four servers we had was quite pleasant. The bar was awesome, clean, and overall had a good atmosphere. The food was decent, but the service... the SERVICE was the WORST service I've ever received in my entire life. It took 25 minutes to get a beer and the bar wasn't even full. The bartenders were texting while they had people WAITING to get their orders taken. That's not even the worst part... We ordered a burger (after waiting 15 minutes to get a menu) and it took almost a hour for a small burger and about a handful of fries. THEN since we were there all day for a softball tournament, we decided to try it again since it had calmed down and ordered a brat and another burger. We waited for over an HOUR! The servers didn't even check why we hadn't received our food, and when I asked about 50 minutes into waiting, we were told they were "making it now" without even checking... It's like she completely forgot that she had taken our order almost an hour before. So then we saw the cook bringing in food from outside, which happened to be the same order we had placed and come to find out, they took it outside and left it without checking with anyone and then tried to serve it to us again...
