When I spoke to the AFC office manager (who was really nice!) she referred me to someone at the lab. Both were very helpful and sincerely apologized, but couldn't fix it. At end of the day I don't have hundreds of dollars to pay for their mistake. I called my insurance company and they won't make an exception. Healthtracks offered me a payment plan... do better AFC.

Being that my dad had just passed, they told me it was stress, but that I could go to the hospital for bloodwork if I felt like doing that. It just felt like a waste of money for a no-effort answer. A few weeks later, I landed at Patient First and they kept me for two hours doing every test under the sun and actually found what's likely happening.

However, today I contacted them because I lost a lab order, and the receptionists were not as welcoming. I came around personally and without a good morning or proper greeting, they just stuck their hand out with the new order. I inquired about a potential appointment to one person, another lady from the side said "you will have to sit down and wait. There are 2 patients a head of you". I'm 150% okay with waiting, but be a little more welcoming. Not sure how was their day going, but I'm sure mine didn't have to get screwed up because of yours. I walked in 3:20pm for my 3:15pm urgent appointment as a new patient. As soon as I walked in the…read morefront desk lady told me I'd need to reschedule because I should have come in at 3 and done my paperwork. Instead of giving me any paperwork knowing I had come in for an urgent need, all she did was complain about me coming in late (I had completed my paperwork earlier online, SURPRISE!), and that my insurance is ineligible( I have already been billed $15 in patient portal). In my appointment time slot for 30 minutes starting 3:15pm I am still standing waiting to even get paperwork. She also kept referring to the doctor already seeing someone else and being busy (in my time slot). 15 minutes of me just listening to her complain about how it's my fault and no compassion whatsoever. When I asked for the person I initially booked with on the phone I was told that lady (from the call) had already told her (front desk) all she needed to know. They could have just told me they didn't have an appointment. Instead I was treated like a joke with an urgent medical need. I am booked for a later date again already billed, and my paperwork completed online. I don't know if I will go back.
