There isn't even all that much in the way of facilities here, though I still quite liked it, particularly since it was one of those older stations that still has the charm that many of those older stations happen to have. Okay, it is a railway station, but I still liked it.

This station is basically the end of the line, and in part it feels as if not that many people use…read moreit. Hey, it isn't as if it is too far from many of the places, and as far as I'm concerned, it is a shorter walk to the main town square than any of the other stations (well, maybe not). At least it does have a nice building, and there is also a rather old pedestrian footbridge, not that I see much use for it though considering that the train can't go that much further - with there being water and all that.

Well, maybe that is only for the weekends because I've only even been down here on the weekends. Still, as a station it is pretty cool, and does have some decent facilities, depending on your definition of decent that is.

Trolley stops in front but need to cross the busy intersection. Trolley goes easily into downtown and plenty of cabs in the area. Large shopping complex next door for browsing

However, this station wasn't too bad. It's been renovated and also quite clean, and near some pretty decent shops as well.

Ahhh. Balaclava. I used to love getting on and off the train at Balaclava station. OKay, not the…read morewalk down or up those long ramps, that could be a bit painful. But getting off at Balaclava always felt a bit like being in a rock video. First a couple of orthodox jews would get off, all dressed in black and wearing those awesome hats they wear. Then a tough old lesbian couple. Then maybe a backpacker or two, and then finally me. And I'd maybe stop for a coffee, listening to the relaxing thunder of the trains passing overhead, and I'd be happy.

Honestly, I should be giving this place a lower rating than I have, basically due to governments…read moretrying to do things on the cheap. This is basically a major interchange station. Well, sort of since the lines only branch off in two directions. However, they will be bypassing this station for the new metro, which really annoys me, considering that this is a pretty major station. However, there isn't all that much around here anyway so I guess I can forgive them for that.

This was a rather nice old station, like many of the stations that happen to be located around the…read moreinner city. Mind you, I rarely catch the train from here, namely because I generally stay on the train until we get to the next station along. However, as a station this one does happen to be quite nice, and well used as well. The trains through here are reasonably regular as well, which is pretty cool. Oh, and it is also a pretty short walk to Chapel Street.

Okay, the trains don't always stop here, and there isn't all that much in the way of facilities, expect for the shopping mall that happen to be located beneath it, and it is a pretty cool shopping mall as well. Oh, and the station buildings are also quite nice.

Like most train stations in Melbourne Glenferrie Station is packed in peak times. CBD workers and…read moreschool children clog the station and the train carriages in the morning and afternoon. The station suffers from enormous numbers of school kids and students from Swinburne, but it isn't really a problem until you get onto the trains. The Lilydale, Belgrave and Alamein lines all come through here so to get to another destination you'll have to head further in and then transfer to another train line. During the late nights watch out for crowds around Cheers and Room the local hot spots. I'm not aware of any problems but it's always good to note that there are people drinking in venues close by.

This is the newest mega train station near Point Cook. It looks clean, at least compared to those…read morein US. There is huge car park for commuters, however there is bit of walking distance, plan to give plenty of time.
