Originally I thought the reviews of this office reflected it's current state, however, the reviews…read moreare years old and do not accurately describe this office today. I dont like to write reviews like this but I am so floored about my interaction with this office I feel I need to warn other moms. I have 3 children that I have taken to be seen here... 2 of them had dental procedures and 1 had just cleanings. The care my youngest daughter received was traumatic to say the least. 2 different procedures and they both ended with infections and we had to seek emergency treatment elsewhere. My daughter had to have a spacer put in due to a tooth being pulled early (not from this office) and weeks after the metal spacer was put in, her gums were inflamed and bleeding. I brought her back to ask if maybe the spacer was put too far into her gums and I was told by the dentist no, she needed to brush better. 2 weeks after that we had to bring her back in and I had to insist that the spacer be removed because you could no longer see it due to her gums being so swollen. The Dr offered no apology, but instead seemed insulted that was pushing for the removal of the spacer. The second issue with my same 6 year old daughter was a filling that was done in their office. They suggested a metal crown should be used to prevent further cavities which we agreed. However, the original cavity was not fully removed before the crown was put on and a few months later my daughter was crying from pain when she was eating and saying there was liquid coming out of her tooth when she chewed... I took her to another office for an evaluation and she had an infection in her tooth so bad that they had to pull it because the cavity had rotted her tooth under the crown!! After all of this, the billing department ran the wrong insurance (an old card on file) and when I asked if they could please submit using the new plan, they said they would, but I could never get anyone to follow back up with me to let me know it was completed. My new plan had better coverage. I then received notices (via text only from a robo number) saying that I had an outstanding balance after I paid over $700 for one appointment for ONE child (WITH INSURANCE)... I called the office to ask what the outstanding balance was and was told it was $46,which I paid. Then a week later I get a notice from debt collection for a balance over $250!! I have NEVER paid so much for dental work for my kids WITH insurance in my life. When I called to ask the office about this charge, (from almost a year ago) the woman in billing was incredibly rude and condescending. As I was finishing my questions she literally talked over me for so long that I had to yell "excuse me!" so I could get my question out. She was very defensive and agressive with me and I can assure you I was not putting her in a position of defense. I was calmly asking for clarification on my balance. The only saving grace of this office is the sweet dental tech who takes the kids X-rays. She is amazing and I loved her. Bottom line - the treatment seemed good, but that proved false as time went on and everyone of authority in this office seems to have a problem being questioned by the very people they are supposed to be serving. I wish I never stepped foot in this office.

Not the fault of the dentist at all, it was just a natural reaction, so we looked for a pediatric dentist & so happy to find Dr. Bryan. This place is welcoming and the Dr really tries to get to know your family and talks to your child before even going to the dental chair. Does a great job of trying to build rapport with a child. Also provides great info to support your child's dental health. Then it was time for the cleaning. Needless to say ours cried and dad had to hold him, but Dr. Bryan was swift and it was done efficiently and quickly. He cleaned our child's teeth (despite the yelling and tears) and took care of any teeth issues! Our little one (once it the car) said Dr. Bryan was nice and it didn't hurt. Dr. Bryan and his staff really knows how to support and work in these challenging situations. The office is clean and welcoming as well for families.

I decided to try a pediatric dentist and found Dr. Wah online. Before every visit, he sits and talks to the children, asks about life, engages them in a fun conversation to ease their minds. He treats and does everything necessary, nothing more and explains and informs you throughout the process. Talking with him, you will know he is a wealth of knowledge. And you know that when you leave, you have a dentist you can trust and one who sincerely cares about their oral health. Now if I could find an adult dentist as good. :)

He really stressed urgency, and that my son's four teeth may die before we get him into surgery. He kept saying there was nothing he could do, except major surgery under general anesthesia. I left devastated. I was in a panic all day, frantically calling other dental surgeons to try and get on their waiting list for surgery just in case we can be seen sooner elsewhere. I connected with a practice in Columbia which he had recommended and they saw my son that day. After an in depth examination including x rays (which Dr Knoell did not suggest or recommend at any point!!) the dentist at this practice concluded that my son has no cavities at all, and instead has staining from an iron multivitamin he takes daily. I actually sobbed with relief. It is egregious that Dr. Knoell would neglect to confirm whether or not my son actually had cavities or truly a need for significant dental surgery requiring IV sedation. He was so quick to recommend the surgery and stress the urgency, but then also said he had no idea if he would get him in before the teeth die. This is gross negligence on his part. I will not be returning to this office and will certainly never recommend it. I would hate for other families to be pressured into unnecessary surgery on their small children purely because this man has financial stake in a new surgery center. ALWAYS GET A SECOND OPINION!

Our son had a horrific pool accident over Memorial Day weekend in 2012, that pushed his 2 front teeth into his gums. No one in Chicago would touch him because it was a holiday, extremely difficult case & he was bleeding profusely from his mouth. We called family in Franklin who also has a special needs child & asked for help getting into their dentist. For a week we went daily to see Dr Snodgrass who tried to save teeth, stabilize his mouth & come up with a plan because he damaged adult teeth. We experienced compassion & unparalleled professionalism for a child who was a one-time patient due to our home location. After the week, Dr. Snodgrass gave us contact information so he could help our local dentist continue what would be a 2-year course of action. Our local dentist referred us for a pediatric dentist due to the trauma. It was ONLY THEN we learned Dr Snodgrass is a world renowned expert on dental issues for individuals with Down's Syndrome & she had heard him lecture. We travelled back to show his work & thank him personally for giving our son a wonderful smile. If a professional can act in this manner for a 1-time patient, why would you not choose his office for ongoing care?

I went to two different dentists before them regarding dental work my son needed done. I was quoted 2300 before any insurance. When I showed them this paperwork they scoffed at the cost and how much it would be and verbally told me they couldn't imagine how a filling would be that much. They told me they accepted United Healthcare and they verified my insurance on my first visit. (We had four total over a month long). Turns out they just verified that I had insurance not any of the benefits. I was told today "We do accept United Healthcare just not all plans". Had they been more honest and upfront about the situation I wouldn't be so upset and might consider going back. I would have even went back as a cash pay patient because I liked them so much with my son. United Healthcare wound up denying the entire bill of $2200, and they are telling us there is nothing that I can do on either end. Dr. Buzz's office DOES NOT offer any cash prices if they are expecting you to pay the full price. Which is the first dentist I have ever been to that does not. They also do not offer any payment plan regardless of situation. I had 16 fillings redone in my own mouth through another dentist and I paid less than what they are charging me for the 6 my son had done. I am currently in the processes of appealing it with my insurance to try to get it covered but the dental office itself will not do anything. It is a shame considering the staff was fantastic up until this point. This is one of the better pediatric dental facilities that I have ever been too. And I will never return because of the billing itself. I was also told today they cannot verify the benefits because United Healthcare changed their policies and does not allow providers to speak to them what so ever. I personally work with United Healthcare and happen to know that is not true. I also got verification from United Healthcare that that is not true. They have an entire Provider Service side for the providers. Update: They will also respond to you and tell you that they encouraged you to check your own benefits and to call them because they can't. This never happened and I was told they did verify my benefits. However today I was told they verified that I had insurance and that's all they check.

"Well that was a great experience!" - my 8 year old son as we left our first visit with Dr. Buzz and his staff. Wow. We have never had such a fantastic experience at the dentist before. From start to finish, scheduling to walking out the door, the kindness and care for patients is remarkable. We were blown away by the entire spirit of that office. Today we saw Anna and Dr. Buzz for my kids first visits at the practice. This was my daughter's first-ever visit and she has asked to go back because it was so fun and she felt so special. My son was nervous about the appointment but left with a big smile on his face. He said he can't believe we found the most perfect dentist. The office is fun, clean, and I was able to sit with my kids during their appointments. They worked with our schedule to make it possible to see my kids back-to-back, even though there weren't any time slots available when I first scheduled the visits. They had some things move around and called me back to get the kids appointments together. The sweet personality and the kid-friendly terminology used was very much appreciated. I appreciate his approach to caring for our kids' teeth and I have confidence in his work. It is a very welcoming place to bring your children and it's very clear that Dr. Buzz and the entire staff greatly values their patients and families. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for a dentist for your children.
