I have been a patient of this clinic for several years. Within the last week or two I had cataract removal surgery. I want to say that the procedure went better than I expected. In fact, it was excellent. My physician or surgeon, Dr. Booth did an excellent job on both of my eyes and I have had a speedy recovery with an ability to see much better than I have been able to in many years. Once I was able to be seen things went smoothly. Dr Booth and his staff worked efficiently to do the required tests. Reception was very efficient and friendly. The only drawback is that wait times are normally about 45 minutes past your assigned times. Did notice some frustration in the waiting room. A father there with his girls actually walked out after an hour waiting to be seen. read more

I'm not sure why Williamson Eye Center has such low scores! Let me be one of the few here on this app who has been going to see Dr Willliam Williamson for several years, he's the best! He deserves 10 stars, not only 5! if you have gone to Williamson Eye Center and you have not had a great experience, schedule an appointment with Dr Bill and be rest assured that he is truly the best!! I almost went blind as a child, really I did, and 40 years later, I'm simply near sighted and have pretty healthy eyes all things considered. Dr. Blake Booth is very efficient and friendly and is a good listener, understanding my reason for this appt. and I am quite satisfied with his solution to my concern with certain eyedrops. His nurse who asked me questions and ran a couple of pre-tests on me was quite knowledgeable and thorourgh. It's been 2 years since my cataract surgery and I am seeing remarkably well without needing reading glasses any longer. I highly suggest seeing Dr. Blake Booth for eye problems. read more

Dr Norred, the Optometrist is pretty much on time... and a very nice lady, but Lord help you if you have to see someone else like Dr Booth.. the staff must be told to over schedule all appointments.... All surgeries, all followup, everything !! Been here since 1:45pm appointment at 2:05 pm still waiting to be seen at 3:20 pm..... Don't worry about coming late ... they sure don't care about your appointment time .... Patients other commitments and/or time does not matter ...at least not here! As long as the $$ is good for the Md's Staff acts like they don't really care... always in a hurry no time for the patient get pushed through and however it may be convenient. No am sorry you had to wait so long.... No nice words .... Dictors are doing a great job with surgery nothing bad to say about that!! This review is for the Denham Springs location specifically. I went in a couple of weeks ago for an urgent medically related eye exam and to get new glasses. The staff that saw me for the exam were amazing. The tech and Dr. were kind, personable and all around excellent. The front desk was lack-luster and seemed annoyed with other clients, unenthused with their job and just going through the motions. When I went to optical, it was the same. I figured this was maybe a bad day and didn't think much of it. Yesterday, I was called to inform me that my lenses were ready. I spoke to 2 different people about picking my glasses up in the afternoon. I left work early to get there at 4:10 (they close at 5:00) only to find a sign that they closed early for a staff appreciation event. I was annoyed, yet I still wasn't inclined to complain. This morning, I went in at 8- late for work and signed into the optical shop. After waiting a few minutes, I checked with the front desk that the shop does indeed open at 8:00. One lady informed me they are supposed to be there at 8:00 but it's usually more like 8:10. At that point, I felt the need to mention that left work early after speaking to two people with no notice that they were closing early- I stated this in a casual, non-rude way and was ignored by both front desk staff. Another person walked in. Same thing. She spoke to people yesterday, went by right after 4 to find no one there. They also left work early / were now late for work. Her mention of this was also ignored. A few minutes later, one of the ladies asked if we were there just to pick up- and we both said yes. She got up and retrieved our glasses. In those few minutes, myself and the other client spoke about the front desk staff being rude other occasions and the annoyance with the closing early without being informed. The other client stated that they have used the BR location and will be going back there as the entire staff are kind, efficient and helpful. I have experienced the same in Zachary when previously using their location. I have always used Williamson because I trust them. I'm not a complainer and I understand bad days. But when you see someone who clearly doesn't want to be there and it feels like helping you is an annoyance, it's not really a hard choice to go somewhere else. I have had rude service there previously, but that was a couple of years ago and is more than likely different staff. A decent attitude and a dash of consideration for your clients is not much to ask and makes a world of diffrence. I love and trust Williamson for my vison care. But I won't be back to the Denham location especially when the customer service is great at the others. As a front desk employee- you are the face of a bussiness, you set the tone of the front end of the office. You are the first point of contact and a huge part of client retention! It sucks to get rude clients and have overloaded days- but they happen to all of us. However the overall effort is low here to make people feel welcome and it shows. read more

had an appt and waited an hour to be seen. after I was told I was next up they called 3 other customers back before me. when I expressed that I had waited an hour and just need to move along with the appt. I was told rudely that I was going to be waiting even longer in the back. I asked why. I was told it would only be an hour appt. she said well it will be more. then advised I come a different day. I had to take off work for this appt. not happy, poor customer service read more

Please make sure you have plenty time to wait. This is the second year in a row that it has taken over an hour to be seen. Last year I waited over 2 hours and this year looks like it will be the same. They are nice but they need a better system in place to get ppl in and out at least in an hour read more

I went to have a cataract surgery with Dr Blake. After a 2 1/2 hour wait, they took me back. Everyone in the waiting room said this is the normal wait time. Now months later I'm still suffering from terrible floaters. They are huge! I wish I had never chosen him for the surgery. He is also a very smug individual. You can tell he thinks very highly of himself. Williamson Eye Center may be a great place, but I would choose a different doctor! Hope you have a better outcome than me. read more

Best doctors around! The wait may be a little long but everyone is nice and treats every patient with respect. Up to date with lasik technology and therapy services. Everything from cataracts to glasses they have you covered. Even from working with your insurance company and prescriptions. Long time patient and I won't go anywhere else. read more

When I checked in, the woman told me there is a contact fitting fee. I know this is common. I asked her the fee. She said there is a range $60, $80, or $100. I asked how it was decided. She said she didn't know and I would find out when I checked out. Unprofessional, but ok. I waited 55 minutes before I was even taken to the back. Miranda (VERY nice) did the eye chart business and then I was taken to an exam room. I waited there another 25 minutes before I saw the optometrist. The contact strength was determined and the assistant returned with contacts for me to try. I put them in and she left. I waited another 20 minutes before anyone came back into the room. When I checked out, guess what. My contact fitting was $100. No explanation of why it was $100 instead of $60 or $80. read more

Been going to them for years. No long wait and pretty efficient. One thing I don't like is that they transfer their calls to a call center between 12-1, the hour most working people use to run errands and make appointments. So appointments cannot be made during that time. Pretty infuriating when you're trying to get things done. They should stagger their staff's lunch hours. read more

postponed my appointment 3 times in a row! then when I got the appointment it took forever! ~ when the Glass's arrived, I received a phone call "Automated" to inform me that my glasses are ready for pickup! I go to the Store in Denham Springs where the Door greeter walked over handed me the glass's & walked off!!! =/ I waited and finally asked if ANYONE worked here that could FIT the Glass's to my FACE and did they have something I could READ to see if they worked? =/ the girl copped an ATTITUDE because I asked her to adjust the frame and nose pieces before I left the building!!! she 1/2ass did the nose pieces and started talking to me as if I were STUPID so I LEFT! called the Management who will meet me there tomorrow to adjust my NEW glasses =/ =/ =/ that comercial they run is PURE BS... WalMart has better service. Update: Day 2 = went back after speaking with Manager & she personally adjusted my ear & nose pieces to fit my face!!! Recently had iLasik here and they forgot to give me my prescriptions prior to the surgery, including the Valium that all Lasik providers give. I was extremely squirmy and anxious throughout and especially after the procedure, causing a panic attack. The doctor at the follow-up was surprised when I told him I never got the prescriptions I needed. My eyes were complete blood shot for days following. I have heard nothing but horror stories since the surgery. read more
