I recently moved to Myrtle Beach from New York and needed to get my piano tuned. I called Rick…read moreEschtruth and he offered to place a damp chaser inside my piano before tuning it. After some research I decided to try it and he came to my house and spent a few hours expertly placing it inside my Yamaha. I could see he has plenty of experience handling and understanding the mechanics inside pianos. He then tuned it and I've never been happier playing music on this piano. I can feel and hear my piano getting the right amount of humidity inside. Every two weeks I fill the damp chaser with water through a tube and It's a lot like when I fill my car with gasoline and all of a sudden it feels like a smooth ride again. Can't recommend Rick enough as an expert who has learned the art and industry of piano repair and maintenance.

I really didn't want to leave a bad review, but the owner, Steve, deserves it based on his…read moredisrespectful and unprofessional handling of this situation. I took my daughter here for two drum lessons, and she absolutely loved them. She was excited to continue, so we scheduled her third lesson for a Saturday at 1:30 PM. When we arrived for the scheduled lesson, the doors were locked and nobody was there. I immediately texted Steve and received no response. I reached out again a couple of days later and still received no response. Things happen. If there was an emergency or something came up, I completely understand. A simple message explaining the situation would have been enough. But leaving a customer standing outside for a scheduled appointment and then completely ignoring follow-up messages is incredibly unprofessional and disrespectful. What makes it especially disappointing is that my daughter genuinely enjoyed the lessons and was looking forward to continuing. Unfortunately, the complete lack of communication has ruined what otherwise could have been a great experience. Don't waste your time with this guy. One star because zero isn't an option.
