Called the dixon tow truck and he told me to call police and have the sterling driver dispatched as he would not answer or do a tow unless the police called it in. The sterling driver had the police call back and tell me that they did not tow to residences. As he drove past me with a car on the flat bed. As I was on a main road. Then he never. drove back by. He went out and around on am alternate route to not go by me As instructed but the dixon location i called him back and at 11pm said he would be on the way. I waited till 1 am texted the driver and was then told he had a tow on interstate for an arrest. He then told me that they would get it in the morning they started working at 7. Even though it clearly states on their trucks they are a 24 hour tow service. Finally they towed it at 8:30 the next morning. Even though I had stated the back end of car was in the road way. When I spoke to an employee please have the owner call me and here we are a week later and have heard nothing from anyone. For body work you will find no one better. But save your time and call someone else for a tow because they clearly don't care. As i have worked with the public for 37 years in a management role and would never blow off a customer like this. The sad part is the father made the business what it is and would have mever handled it like this.

I had backed out of my garage and had the tailgate up and the moulding in the garage raked the surfacesurface of my SUV. AA very helpful Gentleman came out to my vehicle, looked at the area, after I told him my take of woe, and said " wait just a minute, I think I have something They will fix this". He returned a few minutes later with a cloth and a bottle of some grayish liquid. Before my eyes ,just like a Miracle ,he began to run on and polish the bad scrape 2 inches long and 6 in scratch right off !! No Body work required !!! I asked to go inside and settle the forthwith him and he said there was no charge !! He even refused to let me give him any cash for his Lunch at least !! I paid for a window and ceramic coating and new ford emblems which were never delivered. Over $3,000 paid just for those. Not to mention bubbles in the window tint that werent even tinted to 5% as they were supposed to be. Also bubbles in the brand new and very expensive paint job. I was also charged for parts that i provided. Hes responded to messages that he will take care of it and fix whatever is wrong but how could we trust him with the truck again after this fraud. He also promised to send detailed invoices and a refund which has never showed up. I gave him close to $40,000 to work on this truck and got screwed over personally by the owner. My wife trusted him and considered him a friend. Id sure hate to see how he treats customers that he doesnt know.

We brought our '67 GTO to Vintage Mechanical Works several years ago for work on our air…read moreconditioning. When we got the car back the air conditioning was still not operating and looked like some kid restored it. We have our car at a different restoration place right now and Vintage was supposed to replace the wiring loom in the dash that we had purchased and given to Vintage. We are now being told that the wiring loom in our car is the original so that means Vintage Mechanical Works stole our new wiring loom we gave him and never replaced it. I would NEVER go to this place or recommend it. They are a bunch of shysters!
