The facility was clean and all the women behind the counter were professional and cordial. Upon calling my two kids back for X-rays and cleaning, I learned that I was not allowed to be with them while their procedures were getting done, however I could watch through the windows. At first I was extremely taken aback by this news, as this was never the case at their previous pediatric dentist, so it was a lot to handle in the moment. My immediate response was to ask for the office manager for more clarification. The OM did come out shortly thereafter and explained their policies to me, she also explained how this policy-no parents inside during treatments-was conveyed to whomever scheduled the initial appointment. (This was true and did happen-mom forgot to mention it to me initially) After hearing from the OM, I understood and had a more clear picture of why this policy was being utilized. Although different for me and my children, I 100 percent understood its purpose-I unfortunately was just opposed to it. The OM immediately sensed my discomfort and offered to have the head dentist come out and talk with us once she was free. This small act, was much appreciated and went a long way. After hearing from the dentist and then my children, after the appointment, my initial apprehensions were dismissed. Before we left, we scheduled two more appointments for them and placed their names on the short list in case anyone canceled. Luckily, we were informed yesterday that they would be able to come in for their procedures today, Thursday 17, which we did. Both of them had another great experience and so did I. Although, I am still unhappy and uneasy with this policy, I am extremely satisfied with how they went about handling it, especially the Office Manager. I appreciate all the women that we have encountered at Smile Starters, and would definitely recommend them. From the Receptionists to the Office Manager-to the Dental Assistants-to the Hygienists-to the Head Dentists-everyone who came in contact with, myself or my kids, was excellent! Thank you WD / SS.

A clean and comfy reception area where I feel like I am at a well loved home, where care was taken with the decor to give patients a relaxing and welcoming experience, not a feeling of being a product in an assembly line like at other dental practices. 2. A receptionist who smiled and made eye contact, politely asked the necessary information, and remained pleasant for duration-this is important because it is lacking at dental offices where front office employees often act as if patients were a chore. 3. A competent, thorough dental professional named Andrea, who did probably the best dental cleaning I have ever had. 4. Dr. Miles greeted me, checked work done, and even referred me to a dermatologist for treatment of a growth she noticed on my skin. I live at walking distance from two dental practices in the area. I was a patient at both. I prefer to drive 15 minutes to Dr. MIles' office. If anyone is going to invade my body by placing their fingers in my mouth, I need to feel that I can trust that person. Not to mention I am in my 20's and have a lot of life to go in my teeth. In 2024/2025 she had told me I had some very small cavities starting and she recommended fillings to prevent any worsening. Since those fillings I have had nothing but issues. Not only did she crack my teeth she caused extreme sensitivity and I am now up to $8,000 worth of dental work done to fix her mistakes. She knew she messed up and tried to have her daughter fix her mistakes but not even that could do it! She cracked my teeth when doing the fillings and then sent me home. I then noticed and called and told her what she did. She supposedly "fixed" them but can confirm that did not happen based on a second opinion. She did poor fillings and I am still having to have hers removed and fixed. Not to mention she completely messed up the crown of my implant creating a large food gap. Most dentist would redo the crown until it's right but not her I was told "you'll just always have to have floss" EVERY piece of work she has done I am having to have fixed. I am having to have a new crown made and placed on my implant because hers was horrible, I am having to have all her fillings removed and replaced because it's "terrible" work. Having to have my bite fixed because of her TERRIBLE TERRIBLE WORK! I went back several times telling her something was wrong but was always brushed under the rug and told to use sensitive toothpaste. Turns out shes just a horrible doctor and doesn't want to fix her mistakes. She messed my mouth up so bad she couldn't even fix it. Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere! I've been having to have her mistakes fixed since I left this practice and I'm still dealing with issues she created. Leave while you can because you will end up paying for it in the long run. When she retires you will be having to have your mouth fixed! Horrible dentistry work clearly she had no idea what she was doing

She provided me with three options from the temporary fix that could last a week up to a year to a permanent fix. I chose the temporary with the expectation I will go back for the permanent implant. A very important aspect of the visit was the Covid19 protocol. It was very good and I had no doubt at all they were serious about protecting me and themselves. The price was reasonable.
