We scheduled a day in mid-September for him to show me a listing that he thought I might be interested in. He took me to the apartment that I had originally inquired about and, after talking through what I liked and didn't like about the place, another listing of his came to mind. We promptly went and checked it out. Along the drive we had more time to talk about what I was looking for specifically, what I was looking for generally, and what I definitely was not looking for. I expected a quick showing and then a bunch of phone calls to follow up. What I got with William, instead, was a fully tailored Saturday tour with a polite and knowledgeable agent. He has a great grasp of Austin and talked me through the city's major points as we drove around. William ended up spending something like three hours driving me around Austin, taking me to listings that, with each subsequent car ride and showing, grew closer to what I was looking for in a place. I happily settled on the fourth complex that we looked at, and ended up applying for a lease starting the next week. William is great to work with and I don't feel like I was the easiest customer! I was initially looking for 2 bedrooms within a near proximity to downtown and rather low budget point. William found a number of good options and even picked us up from my current place to go and look. Right before signing my roomie to be backed out and I had to ask William to basically start over with new parameters. He was more than happy to do so. He sent me listings several times a day to consider and was very open about the properties. Some agents won't tell you much about the properties for fear you'll go without them.
