The next open weekend is actually next week, on Saturday the 5th and Sunday 6th July so I timed this review well, didn't I?! The building itself is fabulously preserved and none of the studios are empty. I can imagine it is a great place to work. I understand that they have recently enlarged the space to include more studios so there will be even more stuff to look at. I don't have a lot of disposable income but even I have found some gorgeous things to buy here, including pottery and jewellery. The artists very kindly put out nibbles so you can stuff yourself while you're looking at their work.

It's a great chance to see the artists and their work, see what's new, grab some bargains and enjoy a browse. Don't forget your Christmas Shopping too! I arrived shortly before 10am (opening time) to be greeted with a long queue outside. Thankfully the line moved pretty quickly and I was soon inside. The staff did say that the exhibition is extremely popular on Saturdays so it is probably advisable to get there as close to opening time as possible. As the exhibition contains several mirrored rooms, which visitors can go in individually or in small groups, you do end up queueing again to get into each one, although the staff are very helpful and good at limiting the time to keeping things moving (you get 20 seconds in the pumpkin room and a minute in the others). The art itself is very cool, the mirrored rooms are excellent and each provides a very different experience (and some great photo opportunities!) The garden is really relaxing with a big pond containing another installation. If you do visit, make sure you go and have a look at the paintings and also the Rana Begum 'The Space Between' exhibition which is equally beautiful. I really enjoyed this gallery and exhibition and will definitely be keeping an eye on the listings for future exhibitions at Victoria Miro Gallery.

The new look is fantastic and currently sporting Grayson Perry's wonderful Walthamstow Tapestry for another few weeks. There is far more interaction, more history about William Morris himself, and Morris &Co, including big fat books of Morris designs. And it's all free! You can very easily get round the beautiful venue in 40minutes if you're not lingering about too much, but there is also a fabulously well-appointed cafe now, giving a great reason to just hang out and chill, overlooking the beautiful grounds. Highly recommended and almost on my doorstep!

It is in a creaky old building and access is a problem, there is a manual ramp which has to be trundled out by staff to let in wheelchairs, and then the visit is limited to the ground floor. Recent reductions in opening has also limited visiting this gallery. Saying that it is set in a large park, which also until recently was a pleasure to visit, now it is very dowdy and uncared for. There is a cafe and toilets in the park, but have very limited opening hours and are quite far away. With all this against it the exhibits are glorious and well worth the effort of a visit

I love love LOVE this gallery!…read more I like ukiyo-e prints already...but it is not often that you can find such a huge range of gorgeous prints outside of Japan! There are hundreds and hundreds of prints to look through, and they have a range of prices from £10 to several hundred pounds - although why do I always love the pricier ones!? If you are looking for something in particular, it is worth speaking to the friendly staff. They have draws and draws filled with more prints downstairs. My husband and I spent some time with the staff looking for prints of Nara (and then I fell in love with an image of Edo-period Shibuya...oops.) If you buy one (or several) they have a good quality, speedy framing service too.

Given that I spent a good hour and a half in the Japanese Gallery wide-eyed and thumbing through pretty much every available print they have says it all. The collection of ukiyo-e prints is really something - generally broken down into different themes (wildlife, Kabuki, beauties, battles, landscapes, etc.). As well as this, the JG also offers more contemporary items such as film release posters (giant Totoro, anyone?), modern art pieces, and some anime cels. The downstairs section is small but houses larger pieces. I'll definitely be back here in the future - as well as wanting to buy everything, I found the staff to be really nice here. The sheer volume of items on sale makes it a great place to browse - highly recommended for something a little different!

Just got back from the closing day of the Salon des Refusés, an annual event celebrating all those artists whose application for inclusion in the Royal Academy's Summer Exhibition wasn't successful. And just as at the posh bigger sister's, paintings, drawings and prints of all shapes and sizes are presented alongside each other to make a colourful collage of different styles, just a bit more anti-establishment perhaps ... mind you, some artists have paintings included in both shows! Today, the exhibition was further enhanced by some sonic art presented by Brighton Uni - perfect backdrop and escape from Brexit hangover. #Sundaysanctuary The gallery is the public face of SPACE, but the complex also includes printmaking and artists studios. The space itself it is great and very bright. It often hosts exhibitions from the artists which are always worth a look. I once came here for a big, fundraising opening and it was great.
