This shop is hooked up with organic apples which have nothing at all to with the decent antique selection here, notably ceramic wall hanging owls, oil paintings and a smattering of old tables, none too large. The organic apples sit day after day in a box in front of the shop and cost 25p. They used to cost 50p per apple. I think this shop has been credit crunched. It hits everyone.

Mind you they all have an interest in the Conservative Party and are keen contributors in capturing key elements that changed the course of the party and its profile. It all sits behind a green door and you have to pay a £1.00 to view the gallery. Refundable if you buy any piece on display. Its split in two levels, the ground which has a small section selling published books and coffee mugs with handles of politicians past and present. And there is the basement with a corner cafe run by the man himself. The place is the brainwave of a man called Tim, who you will find busy typing away at his reception desk but is semi-pleased to answer any questions. A very old and dinky museum, just off Barnet High Street opposite the church. If you live in Barnet, there will probably be something of interest to you in there. Word of warning though, unless they have updated the costume and textile exhibition in the cellar, it can be a bit spooky if you're left down there with the life size models in a set from the time of a war.
