My biggest regret so far in raising my kids was keeping them in this school when the current…read moreprincipal took over. The other review is correct. They were not allowed to talk during lunch and they were in fact encouraged to rat out their friends if they did talk. There is no chance for the students to socialize at all. The principal, Ms Rios, is a nightmare. I fought with her constantly. She talks down to the students and the parents. She is the biggest bully. She has no respect at all. My family attended this school for three generations and i enjoyed my there back in the 80s and 90s. Now, i would not recommend this place to anyone. My kids are in public school now and they are learning more about respect and consideration for others than they did in this so called catholic school. I receive letters all the time as a graduate asking for donations, however, they will never get another penny from my family after how my children were treated there...especially if that poor excuse for a principal is still there! Also, both of my kids, who were honor roll students in st agatha were behind upon entering public school especially in math. Its sad to see what this school has turned into.

Dear J.M.: Sorry to hear that you were so unhappy at SAS. I…read morehave never had an issue speaking to the faculty or principal. They listen to your concerns and Ms. Rios' door is always open. You can feel bad if the principal or secretary call you to speak with you about tuition but when you enroll your child the fees are explained to you. If you and your family attended Saint Agatha School then you know that for the first 10 minutes of lunch it is silent so everyone can eat. You would also know that you are charged tuition and pay for special events/activities you let your child participate in. The office staff is great at helping families obtain financial assistance if it is needed. Saint Agatha School is a Gold Star No Place for Hate School for the past three years. The faculty and students complete activities that bring them together and show tolerance for others. Does the Public School have this distinction? If your child was an honor roll students I do not understand how they would be behind in their academics unless they are not putting forth enough effort. Remember what you put into something is what you get out of it. You can always let the Catholic Alumni Partnership (CAP) know you do not want to receive any letters. The school does not send out those letters.

Very disappointed. I'm trying to figure out pricing for my child to enroll in a day care facility…read more I put in inquiry in they called me and left a voice mail, when I called them back the person who answered sounded flustered, she said "I'll have to call you back" with a parent and I don't what this is in regards to, and hung up. This is my first time trying to find a day care and I'm already feeling sad that I have to even to do this and go back to work. I then received a text stating that they've been trying to get in contact with me but I never received any missed calls from them. I am more needing a general price so I can see if it's even affordable. This what they told me. Also on this yelp page they advertise you can get a price quote, but they don't give you one. They just want you to come in for a tour this is false advertisement. Don't say you're gonna give someone a price quote and then turn around and say you don't discuss price online LOL being a parent your time is very limited as it is and you telling me you want to give me a tour without telling me a general price is wasting more of my time

When you walk in you will be totally surprised how this one stands out from any other high schools in Brooklyn. Let me start with kids first. While I was walking with my niece from floor to floor kids grab my attention. They all, without exception were so proper and so polite, I couldn't find a single obnoxious kid that was trying to proof something, like they always do at this age. So, wondering around I noticed how identically they all dressed, meanwhile they don't have a uniform here. Well, I couldn't find a single boy, showing his Tommy Hilfiger or Calvin Klein colorful underwear coming half-way from their oversized pants that hanging somewhere between their knees and somehow holding on invisible cooks preventing their fall during each step that seriously limited. All boys wear nice shirts with either jeans or slacks, which were perfectly sized and worn at the waist line. Girls... all well groomed with tight but not that tight pants pretty sweaters and blouses slightly showing skin at the neck line some of them with shoulder drop, but again nothing vulgar. Teacher... Impressive selection of a very talented teachers, you feel like personally thanking principle for doing such a great job! Good mannerism, very talented, you feel right away after talking to them that they do care about their students, but beside that each one of them had a very interesting, unique and some of them super charming personalities. Education.. There are various amounts of courses that promote higher level thinking and prepare students for college and a successful future. I even checked their labs and science rooms and they were filled with all sort of gadgets and supply students need for class-work. Interesting educational posters and projects were covering walls everywhere. They have all kinds of after school activities starting from tennis, basketball, soccer, pingpong and ending with singing, dancing and acting. They even have a program for volunteer at animal shelter on Saturdays. Overall I was pretty impressed with Goldstein hight school.
