Dr. Woessner was my primary care physician for over 6 years and once he started charging $1,600+ a year just to be his patient, I finally got fed up and found a new doctor. Let me start by saying that his staff is wonderful. If he treats his staff like he treats his patients, he must pay his staff really well because I have no idea how they put up with him on a day to day basis. Dr. Woessner has been rude and disrespectful to me more times than I can count and he's even been wrong on two occasions about something concerning my visit and I had to look it up on my phone to show him. He admitted his error the first time but the next time I saw him, he had totally forgotten and made the same error again. I didn't bother to correct him the second time. Even though I paid my visits completely out of pocket, in my last year as a patient I would receive multiple bills from debt collectors after he turned me in for not paying whatever he thought I owed him for. Dr. Woessner was my primary care physician, and even when I made appointments with him he would give preference to walk-in patients. On every visit, I had to wait for about 45 minutes before the nurse would take my vitals, and then generally another 30 minutes before the doctor came in to the exam room. The doctor's bedside manner was terrible. I complained about a backache and he creepily suggested it was due to my "pendulous breasts." Recently, I requested a routine prescription refill for a medication I have been taking for 12 years. He asked that I come in for an appointment, even though I had been in to see him less than 3 months ago. I explained that my current health insurance has a high deductible and that I wasn't planning on visiting any doctors until after the new year when I'll be on a new plan (thanks ACA!) since the cost would be so high and completely out of pocket. He refused to refill my medication, proceeded to talk over me, called me a drug addict, and hung up on me. He is an asshole. read more

A Renewed Faith in Western Medicine!! I went back to Dr. Woessner yesterday after my Plan A doctor was less experienced than I had thought and kind of malpracticed on me! I made the appointment the same day, and got a good hour appt. for myself. The front staff and nurses were efficient and friendly! Once I got in to see the Doctor, he listened to me, and like me, agreed on an aggressive course of therapy. I got in and out for less coin than I thought, and I have a renewed hope for me and Dr. Woessners future, I will keep seeing him, as long as I can get in. That is until something pisses me off. All in all, he made me happier than I thought a doctor could, by beginning a new course of therapy and that's not just the vicodin talking! read more

I used to come here and at the time liked this office. however over the years it became a different story. the appointment wait got longer and longer. sitting in the office got longer and longer. the cost of the visit WHICH I paid in cash? higher and higher. and on the last and final visit I got a sermon from the doctor himself. who do you think you are? you don't know my religious beliefs, and you don't have the right to tell me what you think I should do. I am a woman in my fifties. when a doctor visit turns to a religious sermon, you can forget about me ever returning. mysogynist is the word that comes to mind. may god forgive you for your lack of communication skills. read more

I've seen Dr. Woessner for over 30 years. He has a deep concern for his patients' health and well being. This isn't the place to go for your perfunctory antibiotic prescription. I've been with this GP for a couple of years, and enough is enough. His staff is a big part of the problem -- they're not attentive. They didn't listen to the types of tests I wanted done on my blood work, and when I got the results it was missing the desired results. I scheduled another appoint to get the missing test done but this required more blood so guess what? I got charged by the lab a second time, AND Dr. Woessner's office charged me again. Additionally, his staff failed to bill my insurance under a preventive code for the blood work (which it is, and the ins. told me it could have been billed as such), so my insurance wouldn't pay out. THE WORST!! So unprofessional. No bedside manor. I went to Dr. Woessner after moving to the area hoping to find a permanent doctor. What a waste of time and money! Expect to wait over an hour each time you make an appointment with no apologies. Today I had enough and walked out of his waiting room after 70 minutes and people still in front of me to be seen. When you are finally seen you will see an old man who is greatly out of touch and has no idea how to talk or listen to patients. Think about the kind of person you want in charge of your physical health and well-being. You health is the most important thing you have. This is not who I want giving me medical advice. read more

The staff is very nice and they are pretty reasonably priced (I was out the door with a lab for $118). They set an appointment for me a few days after my call which made it feel more like a doctors office and less like an urgent care/walk-in clinic. I came with multiple issues, because like many people without healthcare I usually let things go until treatment is unavoidable and I can get the most bang for my buck. When I brought up more than my sinus symptoms I got the feeling that I wasn't being taken as seriously as I might like, so my recommendation is to consider this more like an urgent care facility and not expect the treatment you'd expect for a general practitioner. For someone like me that dislikes going to the Dr, you would think I'd be reluctant to write a review for one. However, Dr Woessner makes my dislike disappear. He's friendly, willing to hear you out on what's going on, and unlike some of the doctors at a certain local urgent care, he will actually examine you to see what's going on. I'd say he's a fairly old school in the fact that's he's there to get you better, even if it involves getting shots. His nursing staff is really friendly as well, as are the receptionists and office manager. If you're looking for a GP Dr in the NO, look no further than Dr Woessner on the corner of Julia and Camp. read more

Been going to Dr Woessner as a regular patient for 3 years now. He is quick, to the point and yes does have a sense of humour. I had a bout with hepatitis and he made sure that I had a follow up visit with him 2 days after I saw him post ER visit. Most doctors would do a follow up visit within weeks. read more

Horrible! The doctor made me go back several times in less than 3 weeks and charged me every time. When he finally gave me my prescription he said to call back when I needed a refill. I did, and they left a message for him and I never heard back. I called again a week later to ask about my prescription and they said that he wasn't giving out prescriptions anymore unless you sign up for some program that no one at the office ever even mentioned to me, and the cost is about $2,000. This was all after charging me to go in multiple times for a single prescription that I now cannot refill. Waste of time and waste of money! read more

I went to see him the first time and he wrote me 2 "prescriptions" to read books about God and didn't help me with my stomach problems that I went there for. I had a panic attack 2 months later, went to see him again and he blamed the panic attack on not having God in my life. He talked down to me and accused me of making up the panic attack to get drugs. He shouldn't have a medical license. read more

Just get what you need and get out, just let him spout off. Hes unusual in the way he speaks to you, he can be disrespectful which is a sign he is a self hater. Hes good for Rx, otherwise go elsewhere. Hes moody and a control freak. read more

Let me start by saying the nurse and staff was very polite and welcoming I wish I could say the rest of my visit was the same. After waiting an hour past my appointment time I was finally seen. I didn't even have a chance to discuss my medical history or what option we felt was best to help me with my concerns. We went right into how everything my former doctors were doing wrong and apparently I was wrong for following they're instructions. At one point if was insinuated that I should have known better than to listen to my former doctors. By me working in the medical field myself along with several members of my family and friends I feel that it's only right to trust in your physician until they give you a reason not to and my former doctors of nearly 6 years never gave me a reason not to trust in the care. After 10 minutes of being criticized and belittled I knew this wasn't the place for me. I suggest everyone have their own opinion and I wish all the best. read more

I have been going to Dr. Woessner for almost 7 years. Each time the wait is long, sure, but I typically have taken off work anyways, so I don't particularly mind waiting. One time I went here and the nurse gave me a shot for a sinus infection and hit my sciatic nerve and I had a welt and extreme pain for 6 months after. Even after this, I went back because I didn't mind the doctor, just and old guy that does hair transplants on the side... But this last time I went to him I had blood drawn. I waited two weeks to hear anything and when I finally called, they had lost my samples. They scheduled me a "STAT" appointment with the lab group and said they would call me back the same day. Two days later, still no news. I'm currently waiting to hear back from the doctor... Hope I'm not dying... read more
