Sorry for long review, but it's all relevant for others to see…read more Dr. Kim literally helped me reclaim my life and my health. I had been a patient of her functional medicine practice for about two years when I changed careers and moved away from Chicago. I decided to continue as her patient, doing bloodwork and assessments remotely. Six months later I seriously injured my back on an endurance hike and needed "hands on" help. Dr. Kim advised me on the type of chiropractic therapy I would need and told me what to look for in a reputable chiropractor in my area (Atlanta). At the same time, I was having uncontrollable tremors in my legs, random low-grade fevers, weird sunburn like rashes rotating all over my body, and I was rapidly losing weight, the leg muscle I had worked so hard to build. I decided to see a local traditional medical doctor to assess my physical condition. In hindsight, this was a mistake, and I now understand first-hand how traditional medicine is no longer serving our overall health and wellness. I was given steroids and a prescription-strength pain reliever which temporarily relieved my pain (24 hours) but ultimately masked my symptoms and quickly worsened my situation. In desperation, I called Dr. Kim and she ordered bloodwork to assess my condition. In the meantime, she advised me to rest, cut out all sugar, adopt a keto-like diet, and start keeping a food journal. Within a few short days, I could tell I was starting to stabilize. I also began making the connection between which foods made me feel stronger and which foods gave me digestive distress. With my lab results, she saw that I had triggered an autoimmune condition which was causing my body to not absorb certain nutrients, inhibiting my body's healing process. And the Steroids, NSAIDS and antibiotics prescribed by traditional medical doctors were making me MUCH worse, damaging my gut health, liver and kidneys! Dr. Kim adjusted my nutrition and supplements, helped me rebuild a healthy gut microbiome and eventually ordered a stool test to determine if I had contracted Lyme disease, parasites, or other harmful viruses. Now, 4 months later, I am so much stronger and no longer have pain. Thanks to Dr. Kim, and as confirmed by my latest bloodwork, my liver, kidneys and gut are healing. My body has returned to a healthy balance. Dr. Kim helped me go from 1) debilitating physical and microbiome injuries that prevented me from walking to my mailbox or keeping food down to 2) returned strength and energy, walking 3-5 miles every day and able to absorb nutrients from my food. This was my dramatic return to life and good health thanks to North Shore Health Solutions and Dr. Kim!

Rich Libles I became…read moreaware of Dr. Martin through an ad on WCPT. I trust the station so I tried her offer of an evaluation and treatment for diabetic neuropathy. It was a bait and switch ruse so familiar to many. 2 treatments and test results promised. You can only get results if you bring back your spouse, for the big pressure sales job. They forgot to tell me to bring my wife for the 2nd visit so I was sent home. If I cancelled, I would have been charged. Wasted half a day for their negligence. I had prepaid my $60 as they insisted (I should have been suspicious) and got ripped off. Very poor office operation and lax attention. Would not even give one star. And my results I paid for? Very unprofessional.

From October 2016-February 2017 I saw my old gyne for help with pelvic pain. It was severe and my…read moreold gyne just kept doing repeat ultrasounds and exams. Since she found nothing she either put me on different medications (increased my anxiety and depression) or made me come back every 3-4 weeks. I was getting no where, pain was increasing, and I felt emotionally unstable with all the horomones in my body. I was fed up and found Dr. Scanlon due to her speciality in endomitriosis. I was convined this my problem was since my symptoms added up. We agreed laperscopic surgery was the next step. She was down to business and did not waste my time like my other gynocologist. She added up my health history and made connections that made sense. She was very pleasent and understanding when she met my Mom and I while I was in Pre-op the day of my surgery. Lastly, she helped fix me! Once the initial surgical pain was gone, I noticed a HUGE difference in my body. I later found out that I had horrible scar tissue in my uterus, ovaries, and fallopian tubes. My appendix was affected and had to be removed too. I don't have endomitriosis and I may never know what caused this since no infection or trauma was found. However, Dr. Scanlon provided me great ideas to implement into my life now. I like that she is not afriad to do surgery was neccesary but she implement homeopathic approaches. She said I seem to be suseptible to inflammation and a gluten free diet will help. She gave me some vitamins and supplements that can help too. I have already implemented this diet and feel great. She was on point this whole time. I have a check up in 4 months to see if my fallopian tubes are healthy since they are blocked at the moment. We need to make sure this is because of swelling/spasming from surgery and not other issues. We will see where I am then! I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Scanlon. She never misses a beat.

I needed a Chiropractor ASAP. I called Dr. Barthens office and he was in. I went there and received 1 treatment and the pain was reduced by 50%. This Dr. is like magic. He's incredible at what he does. When something goes out of place once in a while. Most of the time it's just a single treatment and I'm done. He never pushes for another appointment or tries to get you to do dumb things just to make some extra money. He CARES about people and has a genuine desire to want to take there pain away and get them well. 6 months ago I fell down some stairs and herniated 3 discs. Instead of surgery at a cost of $75,000 and about an 80% failure rate over 5 years on average. Dr. Barthen has this equipment that stretches your spine over a period of months. By doing that, my back has put the herniated discs back into place on there own with ZERO surgery and ZERO pain. These machines have a success rate of 92%. Far better than surgery and the cost difference was HUGE. He did it at a cost of only $5000 but I got a large discount for paying it all at the same time. I can't say enough about Dr. Barthen and his staff. Every one of them is fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You may think this is to praise worthy and maybe I'm not a real customer but I can tell you I'm still seeing him and going on those machines. I'm down to 1 visit every other week. When you have had the kind of back pain I have had, you will praise his methods to as your pain goes away. If you want to see if I'm real and going to him. My next appointment is on Tuesday 2/25/20 at 4:30. I'll be on one of those machines. We can talk in person and i'll tell you the exact same thing face to face. Come and see me on Tuesday. People need to know about these spine stretching machines and what they do for people like me.
