My elderly parents went to visit him in Vernon Hills today. Their primary care physician VERY…read moreabruptly closed down at the end of July and his was one of 3 or 4 names the practice threw at patients to try and contact to make appointments. My parents managed to successfully contact Dr. Kwak's office and make appointments for today. They were handed a stack of paperwork to fill out at the office after they had been there a while, which was confusing because they had filled out a "stack" online already. Buried somewhere in the stack today was an existing policy that if you don't give them a credit card upfront, you won't see the doctor. And since my parents are on Medicare and everything gets charged that way, my parents were uncomfortable doing so and ended up leaving without seeing the doctor, after being there for about half an hour (why they waited til my parents had already been sitting there for a while to hand over the paperwork in which this policy is buried, I have zero clue). I tried to look up the doc online to see if he has a website where I could see sample paperwork or a policy page myself but I have yet to find one (I acknowledge I might have missed it). So please be advised before making an appointment or visiting the office, IF YOU DO NOT PROVIDE A CREDIT CARD UPFRONT, YOU CANNOT SEE THE DOCTOR.
