I can't believe nobody has reviewed WE Scott & Son.
They're Edinburgh's last traditional sporran maker, established in 1937 and still making top-quality sporrans.
I've been wearing kilts since 1975, and my first sporran was made by them.
I have three WE Scott sporrans now, one of them made in the 1950s, the others more recent.
Interestingly they have never stamped their name on their products. Rather, they leave the back blank so that retailers can stamp their names. I've seen WE Scott sporrans stamped Hugh MacPherson, Scotch House, and many other shops.
I believe that this address is a workshop rather than a retail location. As far as I know WE Scott has always been a maker and wholesaler rather than a retailer. Their work is currently available through many retailers including online at Artisans Of Scotland. read more
