I had an 8"-10" diameter limb on a giant pin-oak that had spanned over my roof (also: I have a very…read moretall house). It was a true "widow-maker" of a limb. I had 5 arborists come and bid the job, and they were very nervous, and the price was pretty high. First Choice didn't bat an eye, and their bid was the lowest by several hundred dollars. At first, I was very hesitant to accept such a low offer; but I used some AI tools to analyze comments and reviews across several sites, and the only negative comment found was that they once removed the "wrong" tree. I decided to give them a chance, and I was VERY pleased. These guys are no joke. They did a fantastic job from start to finish. I will definitely hire them again and will be recommending them to anyone who needs some tree-work done.

YELP saves again…read more Racking up leaves can be great exercise but it gets old quick when temps from under 60 and it's raining every other day. And I was more then tired of clearly leaves from the car every morning. Time to cut/trim down some trees. Could have tired Angie's list - but I think Yelp's word of mouth works so much better. After creating a list, I start calling around. Most places were OK on the phone. This place was GREAT. Great customer service: Was clueless on what needed to be done. Talked with Brian and he said he would come to the home, look around and leave an itemized typed up list in the mail of things that needed to be addressed, cost, and a time frame for the completion. He initially called late Wednesday morning, and confirmed he'd be out later that same day. He then calls to let me know that he has sent the list out in the mail. Great communication and great cost! Great employees: Sometimes in services industries the face of the company is pleasant but the crews are much less. Not the case, every person worked efficiently and with a pleasant demeanor. Clearly Brian trust his crews and knows he has quality people working under him. There was no harsh words, or smoking, etc. Completely professional staff. Service: Brian and his crew worked beautiful throughout the day Thursday. Arrive before 9 and working through the rain and cold weather. The sun had set but still they continued working. They were forced to return to complete the job but it was a BEAUTIFUL job. We can finally see the sun!

I spoke with Shawn this morning and by the end of the day he called me back, with a review of the tree in question and provided me with his opinion and estimate for an OLD oak tree (500-600 years) in my daughter's new backyard. He was clear and fair about his recommended options and patient with my questions. If you want to want to keep it local, honest and true, Young's is the team for you. Thank you Shawn!

Plus the elimination of a small diseased Bay tree. I called Young's Tree Service as a new customer. From my initial meeting with Shawn Young the owner, I was confident that they were very competent. They are licensed and insured and Shawn's wife is a certified arborist. The two man crew arrived at 8 am the very next morning and got right to work. They were very competent and answered whatever questions I had and verified with me the scope of work and whether I approved of the way they were trimming. They had all the required tools and equipment for the job. My wife and I are very happy with the work completed and feel we were charged fairly. We will definitely call Young's again for any future tree work.
