Instead of renting, we decided to buy a Condo and hopefully develop and asset to sell once he graduated. We met Tim Bolton, Sales Representative for Condo Culture, and he coordinated a number of viewing for us to look at and possibly purchase. We spoke a few time prior to the visit to Kitchener so he could develop and understanding of what we were looking for ie. location, size and pricing. From the moment we met Tim, he was professional, friendly and knowledgable about the total Condo scene in Kitchener and the surrounding area. Our focus was on Kitchener. We didn't have much time and didn't want to make multiple visits to Kitchener to find something. Well, he didn't waste our time looking at Condos that didn't fit our profile. He targeted our needs and we made an offer to purchase a Condo right across the street from the School of Pharmacy. Wow, he nailed it. The Condo Culture vibe came through from his team members. They put the paper work together and within a short time we had purchased a Condo. Forward four (4) years and I again contacted Tim to sell the condo. Our son had graduated and the only group that I trusted to sell it, was Tim's team. They didn't disappoint. Not only did he sell us a great condo with a fantastic location, they sold it the first day it was on the market. Wow, a tribute to there organization, professionalism and there "get it done attitude". The attention to detail and complete prep of documents made the whole process a great success. I would recommend Condo Culture and especially Tim's team to service your Condo needs. Leonard.

You definitely can't beat UWP for proximity to campus, especially since half the walk is indoors…read morethanks to the bridge over University Ave. I stayed an Village 1 first year, and I'm glad I did, mostly because of the fact that there's a cafeteria, but also because of the density of people. It was a great place to meet lots of new people. At UWP on the other hand, you get a lot more space to yourself. You aren't always bumping into loads of people because the suites are mostly like any apartment. You and two or three roommates share a normal apartment, with kitchen, one or two bathrooms, and a common area. Most importantly, there's no cafeteria, so you need to cook for yourself, although you're very close to Campus Plaza in case you get too lazy to cook. I chose to stay in UWP for a Winter term because I didn't want to have a long walk to campus in 6ft of snow, uphill both ways, etc. and I'm very happy with my decision. I was a little unsure about going back into residence in an upper-year, with events organized by the don, less freedom than staying off-campus (quiet hours, etc.) All things considered, the very fast internet, reliable maintenance staff and all-inclusive utilities outweighed any negatives that are associated with residence. These and many other factors made the term very worry-free, which is great. You should be worrying about other things when you're at school. UWP even has a grocery shuttle every week to take you to and from the grocery store! The only thing that you need to be aware of, and this is the case with all University of Waterloo residences as far as I know, you need to pay for the entire four months up front along with tuition.

Reasonable accommodations. I stayed here during first year and have very little to complain about…read more It might be a little pricer than off-campus housing for what you're getting, but it comes at the benefit of convenience and ease of mind.

If it's out of their sight, it's out of their mind ... yet I have to look at it every day from my windows and balcony. I moved from Montreal to Waterloo and this is my first experience with TransGlobe. I would like to share with you my story: - For moving in on Jan. 16th, I gave a certified check for the last month's rent and the prorated rent of January and a personal check for February to Mr. P. B. of TransGlobe on Jan. 4th. I was informed on Jan. 5th that I could contact Mr. G. the building representative of Tower I to sign the lease and reserve the elevator. I called a few times and left a message but no one returned my call. Finally, I talked to Mr. G. but he said that the lease was not ready and I would get it on the moving day. - On the moving day, Mr. G. did not answer the phone. After a few minutes of waiting, Ms. K. from Tower II showed me the lease and I signed it but she did not give me the parking spot. I was told that I had to park my car outside although I had paid for an indoor parking. - On the moving day, the apartment number 1406 had the following problems: * Quite a few door knobs were missing. * The apartment had been painted in grey but it was beige when I saw it. * The thermostat was not working. * There was no smoke detector in the apartment. * There was a big dirty carpet and lots of cigarette residues in the balcony. * There were large black spots on the wall of the bedroom. * One of the sliders of the bedroom window was missing. * One of the doors of the storage in the entrance corridor was not installed and it was in the kitchen. * I had not been assigned a parking space. I was not given a key for the parking, the laundry card and the key to the sport facility. - Working hours for the office are announced on the door as 8AM to 5PM but they start at 9:00AM so I have to spend my lunch time at work to come to the building and try to find the building representative. - On January 17th, I told Mr. G. in the morning that I need him to look at my apartment at 12:15PM. However, I had to wait for more than half an hour after our appointment to show my apartment to him. - On January 18th, I was given the key for the parking but they had ran out of laundry cards and their bank machine was not functioning so I was not able to pay the deposit for the keys to the sport facility. - On January 18th, when I went to the parking spot, I saw two big bulky rolls of trash that prevented my car from fitting in the spot. That was a turning moment for me. I can not accept this welcome package from TransGlobe. They have wasted my time while I didn't have time. Now, I would like to make some time for TransGlobe. P.S. From August 2012, the building was sold to Gateway Property Management. The building is becoming worse every day. Gateway is trying to renovate the building but it is currently not a livable place. Stay away from it. If what I said was not enough for you, read this report: http://bedbugregistry.com/location/ON/N2J/Waterloo/300%20Regina%20St%20N
