They claim the patient was fine even though he was incoherent. Covid sucks as we have not been able to visit and helps for them to hide the horrible care they provide by keeping family out. Do your self a favor and stay far away from here unless death is what you are looking for.

My Father in law has an apartment in Independent Living while both of my parents now live in the Memory Care unit. So we've experienced two different levels of need based care. I've found that the Spring Meadows staffers are very good. The nurses, the aids and even dining room staff really seem to care about the residents and try to make the difference to keep them engaged and make sure they're well cared for. I'll also add that the office staff and the general manager coordinate very well with us, the family members, to help with the details involved of having an aging parent who needs the assistance of this kind of facility. They are always helpful and respond promptly if I call with questions or requests. It's been a blessing to have my parents be able to live at Spring Meadows and get the good care that they need.

My parents enjoy the food as well as the activities which keep them busy. The nurses are collaborative and very helpful. George Dewey, marketing director, helped make the transition smooth for them and has really been instrumental in making it all happen. i am so disappointed in the care that my dad was given during his "rehab" after leaving griffin…read morehospital. the hospital tells the family that your loved one needs to go to rehab so they can receive physical therapy and other services before returning back home. My dad was there during end of Covid so he was put into a room at end of hallway (away from everyone else and only had minimal interaction w/cna's etc) his meals were brought to that room and he was basically secluded and alone for 14 long days!! when my dad was admitted to BW he had onset dementia but I can tell you without a doubt that after his 30 days at BW he was never the same. they did so much irreparable damage that took so much from my dad and our family. IF I wuld have known, I wuld have demanded that he comes directly home. I could have given him 100% more PT and tlc for sure. it's a shame that the hospitals make their money from us and then make people go to nursing homes for so called "rehab" just so they can also benefit financially. it's disgusting for sure!! I'm sorry to my dad because he deserved so much more. my advice to anyone in similar situation to bypass BW or any other "rehab". by the way, their PT (it he had it at all) was 30 mins or less 5 days/week.its all about money and that's it!!!

I don't think they perform enough hours of therapy to see the persons stamina and if they are truly safe to be home alone. Also my sister lives alone and developed a very severe speech impediment and social work was really not helpful in facilitating fmla or Aflac documentation they needed for my sister to get financial support. The social worker would say one thing ( in email) and then say she never said it. I kept telling her and the head of social worker the forms where in her bag and each time I said it , it was like i had never told them before. I wish I had chosen another facility for my sister. Room was decent, food was not good. Better to look at a different rehab where maybe the communication and support is better. The social worker kept telling me it's the family's responsibility but before she went there the admissions director assured me social worker would help with these forms since I am very far away. What I felt was that social worker really wasn't trying to help as she was supposed to and the forms she finally did fill out several weeks later were not done correctly.

The high ceilings, large windows and cheerful staff really make for a positive environment. I toured this facility with my mother and we found an impressive monthly calendar full of fun & interesting daily events (both on-site and elsewhere via their bus). They have lots of common areas for group activities like baking, knitting, card games, socializing, etc. They also have a chapel, beauty parlor, game room, full size kitchen for large/group baking projects, private dining room, library, computer room and more. The resident rooms are nicely renovated with updated appliances and handicap-accessible bathroom amenities. There is also a full rehab facility (Ahlbin Center) located downstairs, including a water therapy pool. Great facility overall! (Too bad the only other reviewer "D.D." didn't seem to get past the parking lot... The parking lot was perfectly fine last week!)
