On the downside, that car park is nearly always full! Peter Barratts is a garden centre, so of course they sell the usual garden things you would expect but so much more too. They sell clothes, gifts, ornaments, Christmas decorations, gift books, calendars, and probably loads more that I can't remember at the moment. Oh, and there's a cafe, too. At Christmas they have a wonderful display of all the Christmas ornaments and lights it's like a little Santa's Grotto and we always like to take the children down for a look round, it's so magical!

Various brands sold include Yankee Candles and Swarovski Crystal. There is a delightful café in store, selling refreshments and food. Seasonal products exist such as bird feeders and bird cakes in the spring, and Christmas trees and ornaments in the winter (There is about the best selection of Christmas ornaments available anywhere here!). I only have one small niggle with the location, and that's the fact that it's on the outside, so if you park in the upstairs car park (which sadly I had to do last week as there was no room left in the downstairs open air section), you have to make a conscious effort to walk outside (away from the rest of the shops) to get to Home Bargains. Sadly, because it was in completely the opposite direction, I just forgot to call in last time, and wanted to kick myself when I drove past it on my way out of the car park! Anyway, niggles aside, it's a brilliant shop. They have a good selection of toys, always significantly cheaper than anywhere else. They also sell a good range of household products, kitchenware and bedding, also things like washing up liquid and washing conditioner - all at really good prices. They stock a good range of cheap gifts, and always have cheap food - nothing fresh, but they do stock tinned food, biscuits, coffee, crisps, that sort of thing. Often they are a bit closer to their sell by dates than you may get in the major supermarkets, but they are still within the dates and much cheaper, so it's definitely worth a look! Recommended!

All at highly discounted prices to what you'd pay else wear. I often get shampoo and Conditioner in here for the same price I'd pay for one in Boots, exactly the same brands, quantities etc. There is usually only one or two people on the till which can be very annoying as by the tills it is quite cramped. I would deffinatly check if something's in here first before spending a lot more else where though as everything you get in here is a bargain.

The 1st floor is my favourite having Warehouse, Oasis, All Saints, Bench and Coast on it. There is also a big underwear range including Wonderbra where the women are nice and chatty. Bins is quieter and cooler than the other department stores. It's quite an original building with no escalators (lifts of course) and quite simple but effective decor. It's easily accessible from the high street, and it's right near Captain Cooks Square. The basement has a cafe and mens wear. The ground is makeup, accessories, shoes and bags (essential for us girls!). I would definitely recommend the shoe department here especially at sale time, there are some really nice shoes and heels often more than half price, I got some coast heels for about £70, a bargain I thought! The first floor is younger womens fashion with oasis, coast and warehouse, it's quite pricy usually but hit it at sale time for really good reductions, especially in the coast and warehouse sections. Childrens section is also on this floor. The second floor is older womens fashion but for the younger don't be put off as there are often some good bargains lurking about. The third floor is china, the fourth homeware and the fifth beds. It's a really nice organised shop with generally helpful staff. It's a very posh awe inspiring place but it's good to shop at, just make sure you look out for sale dates!
