We applied for a 2 bedroom this year after living away for a year, but the new staff does not have their stuff together. We had told them about our move in date, and was assured it would not be a problem. Filled out the litany of paperwork required for my cats as ESA (they are registered), was told we weren't going to get the one we wanted so we switched to a different place with a similar view. After everything went through (including the payments for the applications) we were told they couldn't hold the apartment for us. WHAT A JOKE! I haven't felt so jerked around in a long time. Be careful, and don't believe everything they say.

I got a nasty little letter stating that I had to leave as soon as possible and they never gave me a logical reason as to why and they took my security deposit without giving me a reason why. If this is how they treat their long term residents, shame on them. Wangard likes to play games that they can't win. Clint Miller the property manager, is also extremely unprofessional and won't be a man and talk to his residents when there is an issue, rather just states it in an email.

Karrmin, the property manager, is very nice and willing to look into things for you. We have been living here for 4 months now and no major problems and are satisfied. There was a mix-up with our parking where they didn't write down which apartment had which spot (you're only allowed one space but there is plenty of street room), and too many people were parking multiple cars down there. Other than that, we have been pretty satisfied. Apartment is very pet friendly and one of the best pet policies/low pet rent that I've ever seen! Four star review due to apartment quality. They were built "average" a few years ago, but I could see these getting completely run down within 5-10 years when they are no longer new. We are in a two bedroom (with one bedroom being a loft) and can't complain about the amount of space/storage. There is almost too much storage and not enough living room/kitchen space LOL. We are on the top floor, so not sure if you can hear the people around you stomping around. I've never heard the people on either side of us, though. However, it seems that the wall to the hallway is paper thin and I can literally hear every word spoken in the hallway. Our floor has some rowdy children who race and sprint up and down the hallway it seems every time they are in it. I know it's kids being kids, but sometimes they do it super early or super late when you're trying to sleep. Anyways, the apartments are fine now, but I'm sure will go downhill with wear and tear. Also the windows must be cheap and not energy efficient because our energy bill is $100 every month (and we don't blast the heat!), which seems extremely high! Overall, we are satisfied. I think the sticker shock of the rent is a little high for the quality you get, but you do get a ton more storage space than the average apartment you'll find.

Edge Water and Lakeside Apartments in Oconomowoc owned by Sawall Properties are by far the worst…read moreplace you could ever imagine to live in the city of Oconomowoc. Some of the apartments have been renovated of course they will show you a recently renovated place but when it comes to moving in they will put you in a dingy old dirty unit that belongs in the 70's but charge you a ridiculously high rent claiming you are in a newly renovated unit. As far as management goes its a joke, the on site manager is an old woman who claims to be available to tennates 2 hours a day Monday through Friday...And if those hours arnt bad enough she is never home if you have any problems or she just refuses to answer her door. If you are un-luckey enough to run into her in the hallway or outside she is the most unpleasant horrible person you could ever meet and every interaction with this woman is borderline harrasment also visitors to the building are highly frowned opon and if your visitors are seen they will be harassed to. If you are under the age of 60 you are treated like some kind of criminal by all employees. The laundry facilitys in the basement are just a waste of time and money they do t work at all. So if you are looking for an apartment please keep looking all Sawall properties are just terrible and poorly run don't waste your time.
