Having relied on Wilko's many a time to serve me cheap printer ink, random picture frames, gaffa tape and all manner of other assorted odds and ends, it's about time I show them some love. The branch in the city centre is larger than your usual place (or at least, the Headingley counterpart) and as such has an army of tills, with a relatively efficient queuing system -whilst waiting in line you'll hear the constant drone of "till number 7" or what ever it says over the speakers - and the scanning folk seem to get through a multitude of customers at speed. Always handy.
Of course, if you're in the market for anything vaguely DIY, garden, homeware, kitchen, office, and so on, it's a handy place to visit. The quality of the products (own brand) won't be up to standard but you'll be able to grab what you need at much less the cost. And face up to the temptation of a number of little edibles whilst you're at it. I think the only thing I've not been able to purchase here was a paper guillotine.
This branch is fairly easy to navigate. Plenty of things to choose from. Decent staff. And I'm getting slightly bored with myself writing this, since there's not much else to say, so I'll leave it there.
Thanks Wilko's, you're a handy friend to know. read more
