Austin Orlando is who intially found my resume and reached out to me. He was very Interacive,…read morebefore and after the interview and assured me they would reach out to me with next steps. Really, that's when all form of communication cut off, I sent him two follow up emails but nothing. My interview on a side note was really weird, the manager seemed very disinterested and I was thinking maybe she had a bad day or was on her 50th interview, either way she was rude. I wanted this review to be on Mondo's HR radar because of the people you have working there. If ignoring candidates completely is common practice in your org, imagine that being the case when your clients do that to you, especially when you're trying to close a deal. Get your people to step up and do their job or have some sort of common decency.

I've never posted a Yelp! review in my entire 30 some years of life. And I mostly read negative…read morereviews on Yelp! and think "That person sounds terrible". But my experience with Mondo was so odd that I felt compelled to write this. I moved to Denver from Chicago. I have gotten almost every single professional job through a recruiter. Two previous from Creative Circle and my current job from Aquent. So I understand the ins and outs of a recruiter situation and maybe its not always the best. Mondo called me about an off-site, 30-40 hr/week design/FED position. I was doing a full-time on-site contract job and the recruiter said I could do this position at my leisure (i.e. nights or weekends). So I said sure, even though it sounded too good to be true. The client didn't even want to talk to me on the phone. They looked at my work and wanted me to start as soon as possible. I followed up with the recruiter, Alex Beck, and he said they were waiting on the SOW from the client. Uh. You don't have a statement of work yet but you're selling the job? Finally they said I would start in 2 weeks or so. So I went to the office and filled out a W9 and other paperwork. And they photocopied my Passport. I followed up 2 weeks later and said I had heard nothing. They were still waiting on the statement of work. I even asked this time "Who is the client that will be contacting me and what is the person's name." They gave me a name and said "he will be calling you early next week" I finally gave up. This all happened in September. Its January now and I haven't heard a peep from anyone since then. My mind immediately goes to them stealing my identification. But I'm prone to panic. I know that searching for a job when you have no job is the WORST THING IN THE WORLD. I think you can tell that there were a few red flags in this whole situation, but I was sort of itching to get a job so I was overly eager perhaps. I think of myself as a level headed person and I would beg you not to waste your time with this company. It will only sell you empty dreams. SORRY THIS WAS SO LONG. JUST STAY AWAY.

Is this a must see when visiting Denver? No. But it was fun. You almost don't realize you're in…read morethe right place until you ask, because the initial entry is a store front (cool stickers, jewelry, queer merch etc). But then you enter the art portion. The indoor portion is mostly music and lights. It's actually really well done. You can push different buttons and witness different light and music themes. I was surprised at how diverse the music was and how many musical choices you could choose. The outdoor version changes over time, but this time I was tracking nine fairies or nymphs, or like creatures, that encouraged harmony and love of nature. I scanned all nine spots and got a free little gift at the end. It's a cool, funky little space. Lots of nooks and crannies. A big papasan swing. Alien like animal sculptures. Plants everywhere. I can't remember what I paid, but it was nominal, and worth the little detour here. It's on Broadway, which parts of Broadway are lively and packed, but this one was a little more dead and vacant. The staff is super nice. The prices in the shop are reasonable for work by independent artists.

Exactly what everyone says!! This was so incredible and well-thought out. The only thing I will…read moresay- and this is not their fault- is to be thoughtful of the weather when you go. This is not a 'beat the heat' activity. A good chunk of the experience is outside and when it's warm, its HOT. Some of the structures you go into are not ventilated, and extremely warm. Go into this planning to spend 30 minutes outside, wear sunscreen!!
