I'm so glad I found Attorney Wiley to represent me in filing a mandamus for my N-400 application. She did an outstanding job getting the government's attention and moving my case forward when it had stalled. When I was unexpectedly contacted by the FBI, Attorney Wiley went above and beyond -- liaising directly with the FBI special agent on my behalf and guiding me through the entire process with care and professionalism. She's been incredibly generous with her time and truly showed that she cared about my situation. I'm deeply grateful for her help and would highly recommend Attorney Wiley to anyone facing delays with their N-400 application. read more

I have been going through the tedious (and often frustrating) immigration process for five years now and Cara Jobson has been a godsend. My husband and I first met with her in 2016 for advice on our green card application. I felt confident enough to do the application myself, but wanted some advice and for someone to review the application before we submitted it to USCIS. She walked us through the process and put us at ease. Then just recently as I'm nearing the finish line of my immigration journey, I called Cara again for some advice as I was going through a pretty unique and dire situation with the USCIS. I left a message and she called me back a few days later and completely lifted my anxiety by calmly and thoroughly answering all my specific questions about what I've been going through. Don't hesitate to give Cara a call! The immigration process is a HARD one and I know how helpless we all feel going through it. She will be a huge help and probably save you a few sleepless nights. read more

I am writing to thank you CARA JOBSON for all the hard efforts you made through my asylum case. When I first decided to approach a lawyer I was confused and was not sure whom to visit. I was glad enough to find CARA JOBSON . In our first meeting in 2015 .I was immediately confident and firm to appoint only you as my lawyer . You answered all my questions and concern. Through out my case you and your entire team were so kind, patient and supportive. Every time there was a new development you were very prompt to call me or send an email. Even during your busy schedule you never failed to message me and call back as soon as you were free. Literally I can't describe how lucky I was when I took the decision to give my trust and my entire life experience for Wiley and Jobson office, and especially to Mrs Cara. I heard a lot about their services and I didn't believe it until I got my own experience. Never felt that I'm a client at their office, I was like a patient and they tried to heal me, all the time they support me, they did above and beyond what you expect. They care about you, about your case... Even if you asked them any questions not related to their career they will suggest and guide you where to go and what to do. Wow. It's going to be hard to not get emotional writing this. I first met Cara in 2017, a couple of months into dating the man who would become my husband. He was going into his first questioning, and I showed up to support him. I was terrified for both of us, and she was warm and professional, and the translator that she had found for my husband was just the most wonderful person. I was by my husbands side during every meeting, and sat in the waiting room during every private questioning. Cara was very straight forward in her communication, very compassionate in her delivery, and very right about nearly every outcome. We were all thrown incredible curve balls from this administration that cost us all a great deal of time, stress, and expense. I firmly believe that Cara's experience, her demeanor, her professionalism, and her compassion got us safely and sanely through this journey, and ultimately protected my husbands life in the US. She was there for us via phone, text, and email when we needed her. This journey started in March 2015, and just ended in November 2019, but had the possibility of being dragged out until May 2022. No one could have predicted the complexity, length, and expense of this particular case, as no one has ever been faced with an administration like this, but Cara was very upfront and clear about the possible outcomes each step of the way. I could not be more grateful for her, and will shout her praise from the rooftops at any and all opportunities. For those going through this, trust in Cara each step of the way. She has your best interests at heart, and will give this her all. In the courtroom we saw the annoyance of the judge with other attorneys that weren't prepared, or had multiple attorneys for the same person. When he saw Cara there was a level of respect and appreciation, and the swiftness in which he dealt with our case was smoother than the others we'd witnessed. She was prepared, kind, and professional. This was enough validation to prove that we had chosen the right person to get us through this. It still amazes me that these attorneys and translators, hear and see some of the most intimate and horrific details of someone's life. That must be an incredible burden, and they are true angels for doing what they do. While I'll miss the beautiful view from her office lobby, I couldn't be happier to have this wrapped up, and to know that if we ever need anything that she will be there for us. read more

I've met with many attorneys before coming to Joye Wiley. Most of them would rush me through expensive appointments, act like know-it-alls, and lose interest when it was clear that my case wasn't a shoo-in. Joye was the first attorney I met with that offered objective solutions to my complex case. Joye was calm, patient and extremely attentive and responsive. I bombarded her with questions and she always remained professional and took great care to ensure that my queries were answered. Whether it was through a quick email or a phone call, Joye was always available and prompt whenever I needed her. She was there to answer all my legal questions, or just to assure me that things were in order. I'm very thankful that I found Joye. Thanks to her, my life is a little better. You can't go wrong with her. I have and will continue to recommend Joye to anyone who needs an immigration attorney. read more

I am writing this in support and recognition of Ms. Joye Wiley. Ms. Wiley has been representing me for 15 years. As my attorney, she has worked diligently with my immigration case. Her knowledge and professional experience have contributed to the positive outcomes in my case, which include receiving political asylum and my green card. In addition, her perseverance and commitment have secured an interview for my citizenship with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Office. Ms. Wiley maintains a highly professional, efficient and supportive business office. Ms. Cara Jobson, who's a business partner and attorney, also shares the same qualities. As an assistant, Ms. Dora Lopez is also professional and friendly. I highly recommend the Office of Wiley and Jobson to represent your immigration requirements. Thank you Antonio Cabral read more

Cara Jobson of Wiley & Jobson took on me and my husband's Green Card Petition in the summer of 2013, and throughout, she provided us with the most professional yet personal support, advice, guidance and assistance, as we navigated the numerous steps in obtaining a marriage-based green card. With DOMA and Prop 8 getting repealed in the summer of 2013, and after having been together for 4 years, my husband and I made the decision to get married and change my employment-based green card to a marriage-based green card. The first question we asked ourselves was...where do we even begin looking for an immigration attorney we can trust with every detail of our personal lives and who truly understands the ins and outs of the effects of the repeal of DOMA and Prop 8 on bi-national LGBT couples? The answer came in the way of Wiley & Jobson! Right from the start when we had a laundry list of questions regarding every aspect of the petition process, to clearly outlining the costs involved, to simplifying any step of the process, to the back-and-forth communications trying to get documents, to clearly establishing and communicating all the relevant checklists and deadlines and steps, to giving us the best case and worse case scenarios, to staying on track with us every step of the way, to being by our side at the final interview, Cara Jobson and her team were always patient, flexible, on top of things, smiling, communicative, down to earth, clear, professional, attentive, calm, collected, knowledgeable, responsive and most of all, amazing! We felt safe, assured and well taken care of knowing Cara Jobson was on our case. We got married in October 2013 and right on schedule, had our interview in February 2014 and by the end of that month, had my Green Card in hand! And all through Cara was by our side. No words or actions can express how thankful and grateful my husband and I are to Cara Jobson and her team at Wiley & Jobson! They literally change lives and realize dreams for individuals and couples LGBT and otherwise, in the immigration world and I hope they realize what a profound service they provide and what makes them so unique and special is that you're treated like a client but also as a person and each and everyone of their clients is important to them. We know for a fact that any future immigration work we will always take to Cara for she and her team certainly set the bar high. I would recommend them to any and everyone for their immigration needs. read more

My case was led by Joye Wiley. My fiance was in Ukraine, and we did not have a chance of being together until the change in DOMA. I hired Ms. Wiley in August of 2013. She guided us every step of the stressful way to get a K1 visa. We got it from the first attempt in the Kiev Embassy. After arriving to the USA, Ms. Wiley continued guiding us to apply and receive a green card. All in all, my husband got to the USA in January of 2014 and got his green card in mail in July - amazing!!! Throughout the process, Joye Wiley was calm, knowledgeable, courteous, down to earth, honest. The whole case took 11 month to get fully resolved. It was an absolute joy to work with Joye :) read more

I am so thankful to have found Joye Wiley, after visiting several bad attorneys no one gave me hope to proceed with my immigration case and I was always given poor advice. Joyce represented me and my mother and was very knowledgeable since day 1 and knew exactly what steps to take to be successful. She always sounded confident in what she was doing and was very honest which made me trust her all through the process. Another thing I liked about her is that she was always reachable via email or phone and responded within 24 hours. I will forever thank the Universe for leading me towards her and I will always be greatful to have found her and helping me obtain my green card after so many years of struggle. Not only did she help me but also my mother and sister. I highly recommend her! Joyce Wiley the best! read more

My Asylum case was approved last month. Cara Jobson was my attorney fo file my case. I met many attorneys to access to file my case but was fortunate enough that I met Cara. I am so happy with the way Cara handled my case that I am venturing on my first yelp review. Any dealing with the immigration involves tons of paperwork, intimate knowledge of deadlines, and general knowledge of how they process things. In this regard I was more than happy for having Cara by my side to assure that I wouldn't get delayed or turned down because of overlooking a detail. I was charged a fair set fee, that didn't go up as I ran into some minor bumps along the way. Cara was always available same day for any questions that I had. She is also fluent in Spanish (which didn't help me in any way, but I still find impressive). Overall - highly recommended. Thank you! read more

Joey Wiley handled my case in a way I hardly had to think about anything and for a very fair fee. She took care of everything, always checking-in with me, explaining things in a clear and easy way and not using obscure attorney language. I got my green card without any difficulties or any back and forth of documents. Above all that, she's a really nice person, that treats you like another human being and not just a case. read more

I hired Cara Jobson as my attorney to represent me in my immigration process and her hard work and dedication paid off when my case was granted. Cara is very compassionate in regards to the LGBT community and her knowledge in the Middle Eastern culture is outstanding. Her sense of urgency is also outstanding. There was not one single email I sent her with questions regarding my case that were not answered right away. My appointments with her were also something to be noticed. Cara never rushed me and always listened very carefully to what I had to say. She made me feel very confident and empowered to proceed with my case. With all that said, I want to highlight the fact that Cara really cared about me and about the things that I have been throughout. That was everything for me. I am very grateful for the amazing service Cara provided me and I highly recommend her services. She is truly the Best and the smartest lawyer I have ever seen. Remarkable, incredible, and impressive service throughout my asylum case... Cara Jobson walked me through the entire process, rules, and regulations. She personally met me multiple times, first to understand and then to prepare my case. She is very knowledgeable and an expert in her profession/discipline. If she did not know a definitive answer to my question, then she got back to me after proper research and study. She keeps herself updated with the current LGBTQ news in India and other countries. She was very transparent and organized. I am very happy the way she handled my case. She is very punctual and never had to wait for hours or even minutes to meet her. She offered to voluntarily review my permanent residency forms that are supposed to be submitted a year after asylum is granted. I recommended her after success of my case and I still and will continue to do so. read more

I worked with Cara Jobson on my successful citizenship application. It was actually a pretty straightforward case, but there was a technicality which could have become troublesome. It was well worth it to have Cara take care of the filing, prepping me and accompanying me to the interview. One thing I appreciated is that Wiley & Jobson had a flat upfront fee. I had contacted a couple other lawyers in the East Bay since that where I am based, but their fee structure was more vague and you did not know how much this was going to cost you. Plus Cara was very personable and fun to work with. read more

Please stay away from this office for your own good! Poor communication, late replies to your question, impossible to talk to your lawyer on the phone after paying $10,000 for the case, the lawyer is late to hearing, unprofessional and negative vibes regarding the process.. These are just the beginning! She won't tell you anything extra that will have a positive effect on your case! Only there for the money and do the BARE MINIMUM. Does not look after their clients best interest at all. After consulting another lawyer at the area, we ended up signing a new contract and burning all the money we wasted on this law office. Our new lawyer showed us so many gaps in the process of our case that we were shocked. So many simple things that could have been done to ease the suffering/stress and speed up the process... We were never told of any right we had nor any possibilities. How can a lawyer be this unethical and unprofessional after all those years of education? I worked with Cara to have my US Citizenship application processed (N-400). My case was not a straight forward case, I had some complications that I am not in liberty to discuss over this forum but I will say that Cara managed to coast through all my challenges very smoothly. I passed my N-400 interview in February and 1 week later received a notice regarding being scheduled for an oath ceremony. Here are my observations about Cara and this practice: - Cara cares: this is quite simply what makes her a fantastic lawyer to work with. How many times have you had an appointment with a lawyer who didn't even remember your name, care about your case or show the slightest interest in you as a human being. -This law office is busy: every time I am there, the phone is ringing non-stop and the entire team is swamped (this is a very good sign by the way). -Customer service oriented: I had my interview in the san jose office, and Cara drove all the way from San Francisco for an 8:00 am appointment-- this is dedication! -Very competitive pricing: I shopped around for a good immigration attorney and found that Cara's pricing was straight forward and quite honestly a good deal Good luck with everyone's 'journey to freedom' ! read more
