Everything was handled through Zoom meetings, so there was no need to commute, and he communicated with us every step of the way never leaving us in the dark about what was happening. It's rare to find someone who combines legal expertise with genuine compassion, but he did exactly that. He also understood family's financial situation and worked in a way that works best for our needs perfectly. He made us feel safe, comfortable, and supported while helping us achieve our goal. Our family is beyond grateful for his help. We feel so much safer and more secure, especially with everything going on in the world, thanks to Ricardo. Although I wasnt she tried to put me in out of status position. I was shocked, I came home and went to INS's website talked to other attorneys on the phone and learned that I wasnt out of status. I told her and she just said 'ok' How could you do that to your client? I wish I wouldnt have paid her and just say byee and leave at that time. She never calls and not good with the follow up. He encouraged me to call and make an appointment with Lawyer Eva. I did, and shortly after, I began working with Lawyer Eva and her team. Within about 2-3 weeks, she was able to close and dismiss a portion of my case. I was so happy to hear that. Then we applied for Advance Parole so I could travel to El Salvador and see my mom for the first time in 20 years. It was such a blessing to have that opportunity. I truly needed that moment to say goodbye to my mom and return to the United States. During this time, Lawyer Eva continued working hard on my case. Soon after, they called me to let me know I had an interview for my residency. I went to immigration court, and a few weeks later, my residency was approved. I celebrated with so much joy and gratitude for this entire journey. Thanks to Stoffer Law, Lawyer Eva, and the entire team, I can now say thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your hard work. Now I can travel to El Salvador, visit my mom, hug her, and not live in fear of deportation or worry about not being able to return. Thank you so, so much to Lawyer Eva and her amazing team. Stoffer Law is the best, and I look forward to continuing to work with you on the next step!

I felt as if SSJE tricked me. In the beginning they made it sound like I was lucky to have them,…read morethat everyone was trying to hire them. I was told Gautam Jagannath (the founder) would be representing me, he was who I met with when I first went there, it sounded like a good situation. Until the carpet got pulled from under me: I ended up being set up with a lady working remotely from out of state, who was supposed to then attempt to help me, with extremely limited experience, who had never represented another client with the same kind of case... I ended up dropping them because of this, even after paying them in full in the beginning. I made an attempt to get reimbursement, or even a partial reimbursement, with no response from SSJE. I suggest if you sign a contract with them, you make it extremely clear on what services you will get from them, AND WHO WILL REPRESENT YOU. Don't trust the "...or any other SSJE representative" line, because you may end up screwed like I did. They told me they needed payment in full before accepting me as a client because some people "ended up not paying them" - I wouldn't be surprised if some of those people not paying, experienced something similar to what I experienced. Spend a little more, get someone else who doesn't give you the runaround.

I have met only once thus far with Ruby, but this was after the current attorney we had been…read moreworking with proved insufficient for the task, and after a frustrating bout of interviewing attorneys who wanted to only meet over the phone and only after we paid a ridiculous consultation fee in advance, but made it clear that they didn't want to see any evidence nor were they going to offer any advice. These attorneys could learn something from Ruby. She offered to meet with us at her office, made it clear that she would charge a consultation fee, would review our evidence, and would tell us whether or not it was sufficient for where we were at. If it wasn't, she would gladly apply that payment toward future fees and would be able to provide us an estimate of what to expect. The cynical part of you might say, of course she would say that, and being a self-serving attorney, would conclude your session by asserting that you needed her services. But this is not what happened. She looked at the extensive evidence we had collected, slowly and methodically, examining every piece of evidence with great detail. While our interaction with her started with the tense distant demeanor of any such encounter, with each page she turned, she relaxed, and a beautiful smile crept into her face. She asked pointed questions along the way, and by the time she had reached the last page, she was beaming, and finally, she declared: "You have nothing to worry about. Absolutely nothing." At this announcement, we were practically in tears. This has been so stressful of a journey, and while it is not yet complete, this was such beautiful and welcome news. They may have broken the mold when Ruby was born. Such integrity, such passion, and such beauty are rarely associated with those that practice law. Should we need legal advice or assistance in the future, she will be the first person that we will reach out to.
