I called, and they said it would probably be six months before I could get in. I said no problem. They called back the next day with a cancellation, and I was able to get in on that Friday. I met with Benson, a very nice and caring person, and explained how the procedure would go. I went once a week for six weeks. Then I had to travel, so I was away also; I had used up what insurance would cover. He made some good suggestions which I implemented, but probably the best thing I did was the week-long vacation that I stayed off it. It still bothers me from time to time, but I have ways of making it work. The place they have their services in is a one-hundred-year-old building, which is charming but has uneven floors if that is a concern of yours. Also, I tried to never use the restroom facilities there, as the sink was lined with dirt and the toilet wasn't much better. They have a lot of people still masking (which is fine; I totally understand that), but they apparently aren't concerned with the dirt you can see. One oddity I observed was that the needles were put in my hand, but as I was lying on the table, Benson would use my stomach as a place to hold his supplies until he needed them. Do you know how awkward it is to have someone grab things off of your stomach to use in a procedure? I probably should have said something, but I thought it was a one-off until it happened again. So, the procedures themselves were good but probably need to fine-tune a few things.
