There are classes many times of day and lots of instructors...easy to fine your fit. Students are encouraged to listen to and respect their bodies. It's a flight of stairs from street level, but the view from the studio is simply breathtaking. Different types of yoga are taught, and teachers all have their expertise. Even though one can get used to the sight of the snow-capped Rockies after a few weeks in the region, nobody can really stay cold to the mountain panorama that can be seen through a ceiling-high window. Make sure to come to a class that starts before sunset so you can fully enjoy the view! The studio is small and cozy, which makes the practice much more calming, and the hardwood floor adds a homely touch to the whole studio. If you're more of an outdoors person, teachers often offer outdoors classes directly on the mountains, especially in the summer. As for any yoga studio, drop-in class fees are $18, and there is no student discount. There is a monthly trial package if you're new to the studio, but since you won't be disappointed, the best deal is obviously the yearly subscription. Mat rentals are cheap ($1). Want to experience heaven on earth? I did…read more Picture this: Sitting outside in the hot springs. There are only a couple of other people in here as well. You're sitting there, watching the steam rise into the fresh, brisk air. The springs are lit by the moon and the stars and it starts to snow. Your body is perfectly warm and comfortable and one by one, snowflakes fall into your hair. The steam continues to rise and you look up and make a wish on a shooting star. All is right in the world. This was one of my many experiences in the hot springs at the Aquatic Centre at The Banff Springs Hotel. When you first walk in, are greeted by a 32 metre indoor pool (which is 7 metres longer than an Olympic sized pool I'll have you know). There is also an indoor hot tub located at the side and it's surrounded by rock walls, so it makes you feel like it's a hot tub inside a mountain. Then, you go outside, and are welcomed by the indescribable hot springs which are surrounded by The Rockies. It's NEVER too crowded here, it's clean and it's truly heaven on earth. I cannot even describe how it feels to sit outside in the moonlit hot springs. The springs don't close until 10pm, so you've got a good number of hours to soak it all in. The locker rooms are pristine and they offer all products for their guests. Bath-sized towels, hair products, bath wash, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, hair dryers, you name it. Everything is kept clean and the crowd is monitored so that the hot springs are always welcoming and clean. I love it here. Truly. When I'm thinking of heaven on earth, I daydream of these hot springs and all my problems melt away.

It's not set up with an entry way, so you may end up with your mat by someone's boots and in winter that spot can be chilly. There's a small bathroom on site, which is all they need. It's a bit crowded in the back, but it's for storage of equipment that they offer you for free and overall it's a good use of space so that there is more floor to practice in the main area. The equipment that they have on site to use includes blankets, bolsters, blocks, straps and mats. As an occasional yoga practitioner, I'm grateful that's provided. They are on par or a little better in terms of price and promotions. I work very long days, so I don't have the opportunity to take advantage of their weekday roster. I also travel, so my weekends can be unreliable too. For that reason, I appreciated the pack of 10 promo to be used over 3 months. The flexibility is appreciated. I'd like to see more weekend offerings, but understand that they are growing. The Yoginis who teach here/ facilitate class all seem diligent with regards to poses and flexible in terms of skill level. I definitely recommend.
