Immediately, Kim was at the door with a smile greeting us. She had this sass to her and an electric personality. My boyfriend who has long hair needs to go to a salon for his haircuts. She told me that because my hair had purple and red tones, it would be more challenging, but she assured me she could achieve the look. I trusted her, especially since I wanted my hair done for my birthday. During the appointment, she had an assistant working on my hair who clearly seemed inexperienced. I was never asked if I was comfortable with the assistant doing part of the service. I understood everyone has to learn, so I didn't say anything. When my hair was finished, I was disappointed. It came out much darker than what I had asked for and looked nothing like my inspiration photo. To her credit, Alexis acknowledged it was too dark and offered to redo it free of charge. I went back for the correction. Before she started, I asked about the highlights because I couldn't see any. She told me they would still show, but even after the redo, there were still no visible highlights, and the final result was still far from what I had requested. I don't like arguing or making a scene, so I accepted it and left. However, I'm extremely disappointed that I spent over $400 and didn't receive the hair color I was promised. Now I have to pay another salon to fix it. Based on my experience, I can't recommend this salon. If a stylist isn't confident they can achieve a specific look, it's better to be honest from the beginning rather than promise something that can't be delivered.

If I ask for 1 inch off, she cuts 1 inch; if I ask for 6 inches off, she cuts 6 inches. She is meticulous with coloring and highlights, and will even take the extra time to separate my full head of hair into little pieces to make sure the highlights look natural.
