We came up for the 4th of July weekend and decided to stop in for a drink. It was later in the night and since it was July 3rd it was slammed by any means. Maybe 15 people in the whole place. We sat at the bar and waited and waited and waited. The bar tender look over at us and went back to chatting with other customers. No big deal right? Maybe they were ordering and we were in no rush. Finally she came over and we ordered and got our drinks. That where the good part ends. We finished our drinks and were chatting away thinking she would come back by. After about 20 mins she still hadn't come back. She looked over at us at least 4 times and then went back to giggling and chatting with some friends. Finally we were able to get her attention and we told her we just wanted to close out and she said sure I'll be right back. Then she went right back over to her friends and proceeded to keep chatting and laughing with the same 5 people. After 10 mins went by I tried to wave her down and she looked over at us and went right back to chatting and then what seemed like more friends came in she went to hugging, chatting and serving them. She made more eye contact with us and even when I motioned to close out she look right at me and turned back to her friends and continued chatting. We ended up just leaving and calling it at night. She seems more interested in talking than making any tips or helping any customers.

I have an enormous problem with the Wheel Inn and I'm afraid there's nothing that can fix it. It's…read morenot the fact that it's an hour and a half drive from where I live. It's not the fact that everyone there is friendly and kind. It's got to do with their wings. The wings are...outstanding! Better then any that I've had in Missoula. Or, in that matter, pretty much anywhere else. They are perfectly fried. Seasoned with just enough heat to make that beer taste extra delicious but not so hot that your mouth becomes a cauldron. There's a full menu that includes, from what I was told, outrageously good burgers. Maybe next time. Take a seat on the deck and be prepared to be as happy as you can be. If Leah is working your guaranteed service with a smile. The Wheel Inn is my new happy place.

There was a table with 2 non English speaking foreigners at the table next to us that decided to have a FaceTime call with a child at FULL volume with no consideration for the other customers. It was totally obnoxious. We asked to be moved and they happily accommodated us. We saw others asking to be moved away from the Facetimers as well. If I were management . . . I would have asked these rude foreigners to leave. But this place otherwise was great.

From the moment I walked in, it had that cozy-but-alive vibe -- music at the right volume, sunlight coming through the windows, and that faint smell of espresso in the air. Thick, creamy, not too sweet, with just enough richness to make you slow down and actually enjoy it. You know that moment when you take the first sip and instantly realize you're going to remember it? Yeah -- that. The staff was warm and laid-back, the kind of people who make you feel like a regular even if it's your first time there. And while the shake was the star of the show, everything else -- from the atmosphere to the service -- made it a full 5-star experience. Crispy Chicken Sandwich had a breadcrumb coated chicken breast. The main flavor in the coating was pepper. The chicken itself was moist and tasted like it was marinated in a brine. The Hamburger Deluxe came with the same sweet bun. Good size burger patty tasted pretty fresh. The french fries was fresh cut potatoes. A bit oily but good. Pretty cool place with a digital jukebox, a coin operated digital dart board that you can play for 25cents and a poker table. Looks like patrons are regular locals with a group of them playing poker and hanging out at the bar. The restaurant was in a small town. This is a must stop place for a great experience.
