One of the best ice cream and dessert spots I've visited in the country!…read more The ice cream is made from scratch using locally sourced ingredients. The variety of flavors is impressive. We tried the caramel brownie, New York cheesecake, butter pecan, banana pudding, and butter finger. All were delicious and creamy! We also noticed that the flavors were incredible without being too sweet. If there's a perfect ice cream on earth - this is it! They also have amazing brownies and cookies. We took home some cupcakes to eat later, too! The staff were very friendly and kept the line moving smoothly. We absolutely loved the decor of this shop. It is creative and quirky. They have used bicycles, pinball machines, tractors, etc to create tables! It's so artistic and fun! We spent so much time walking around looking at all the detail that they included in the furniture and artwork. What a gem of a place!

I and my spouse were passing through Geraldine on a weekend afternoon (about an hour before…read moreclosing), and I needed a coffee hit for the rest of the trip. I'm so glad I stopped here! Don't be fooled by its humble exterior... the interior space is *immaculately* clean and inviting. It beats national chain interiors handily, and most one-off shops I've visited in larger cities. I ordered a large latte (no syrups, I'm a purist), and had them pour it over ice. Delicious and well-made. My spouse wanted something to satisfy their sweet tooth: a chocolate chip cookie filled the bill. It was deceptively filling for its size, as it was laced with oatmeal -- but not too much of it -- and a touch of molasses. Even so, it was not overly sweet (which is a good thing). The young-ish counter guy was very pleasant, and seemed genuinely invested in ensuring our visit met our expectations. Again, high marks. Should I find myself in Geraldine, I will make it a point to stop in again. Bravo.

Stopped by for some fuel on the drive home after road tripping to a nearby park. I'd had this spot on my bookmarks for a while because I thought the drinks looked pretty and the name was cute, so I was excited to try it out. This is a small stand alone coffee shop kind of by itself off the side of the road. They have a drive through too. I hopped inside to check out their menu. They have coffee classics, Red Bull infused energy drink blends, tea, lots of frappes, and some minor food options. I didn't see any seasonal specials but they did have a turtle mocha, so I ordered that. Two gentlemen were working the counter and they were exceedingly pleasant. They invited me to come back out later to attend a trivia night or some such, which I thought was a nice idea and sentiment. My drink was made quickly. The inside of the shop feels super cozy and comfortable, a little like a book nook. I can imagine settling in for several hours to read or work. Unfortunately, I really didn't care for my drink. It was overwhelmed by syrups - and I say this as a woman who loves her sugary coffee desserts. Worse than that, at least one of the syrups had a distinctly unpleasant chemically taste. I'm guessing it's whichever one was meant to represent the pecan flavor in the turtle mocha, as it was slightly nutty tasting, but in a very unpleasant and artificial way. I barely drank any of my beverage. Perhaps I ordered the wrong thing. I appreciated the kind service and pleasant atmosphere and wish them well.

It wasn't busy at all so I got to chit chat with the friendly barista. She helped talk me through a few drink options and I decided on a brown sugar latte. The drink was so good I had almost finished it off while waiting for my blueberry scone. Not that they took long, I just kept sipping! The scone came out hot and covered with icing. Highly recommended if you have a sweet tooth. It was a little too soft and ended up being very messy (grab a fork if you order one). The coffee shop itself had good vibes with a modern/minimalistic approach. Lots of seating if you have a big group or just need a place to work or read. I'll definitely be visiting again if I come back this way!

I was glad to try it on this visit. It's impressively large inside and so there's tons of space to spread out so you can have peace and quiet to work or read or space to gather with friends. It was fairly empty and quiet when I visited but it was later in the afternoon for a coffee. They also have a small selection of goods that would make nice gifts, such as tea bags and honey. The employee working was very nice and we chatted a little about the new specialty drink she was workshopping. The drink menu is creative and has a lot of different options. They also have sandwiches and other light lunch options. I asked her what her favorite drink was and she said she liked the honeybee latte (espresso with vanilla syrup and honey) extra sweet. I replied that I like a little coffee in my dessert and asked her to make me one. It was out quickly and looked yummy - maybe a tiny bit small for the price but nothing egregious. Overall, I liked the drink. The ground cinnamon on top was a nice touch. I'm glad she made it extra sweet because regular might not have been quite enough for me. I did think the vanilla had a slightly artificial taste to it that I didn't love, but it also wasn't egregious. I'd probably try a different latte if I return just to explore the other options and see if I found one I liked better, but again, overall, I was satisfied with my experience. This place is worth a visit if you're needing caffeine or a good place to hang out in the area.
