As a paying customer I go to treatment not to argue about what my insurance covers and requirements, seeing how I am doing 100% of the back work. I spent hours on the phone with my insurance and then waited two weeks to come in and from the minute Dr. Christini White came in she only talked about what she would not do. Examine my dogs ma'ma, you see them for my paid appointment, I see them all day. Then teeth clean was estimated about 1400 per dog without having the x-rays or knowing if they need any teeth pulled then they took my pets back and did their blood with a three month time limit on scheduling before for me about the time limit for their teeth. Just horrible treatment. If you want to talk to a lab who thinks they are experts about everything, and have you animals labs prolongingly spite out to you on the phone without receiving copies then you may have found your place.

Also gave me dewormer to give kiwi the next day; which was overdosing my puppy cause on the breeder records it stated kiwi being dewormer & vaccinated just under 2 weeks prior.. (And gave her bordetella vaccine- kiwis a 2.4lbs Pomeranian puppy) just saying it's a lot of medicine & vaccine for a puppy who got a bunch of vaccines & medicine under two weeks prior (which again was in the shot record I gave the veterinarian). Along with her date of birth. They filled out my paper work all wrong- saying it was her first parvo vaccine when it was her second... She was 8 weeks when she was 12 weeks old.. Would be nice for the shot records from the vet to be you know accurate considering that's what I am paying for exam services, correct shots, them being the experts? Plus when I move or go to groomers I need accurate vaccine info. When I called they said sorry it was a typo but during the exam we discussing how old my puppy was & what shots she received etc. plus they advertise royal Canin dog food which I found out, one ingredient in it is MSG (Hydrolyzed Yeast) if your info fast food for your puppy okay On a positive- They gave kiwi peanut butter when giving the vaccine, on her back bottom kiwi didn't cry which was nice. Just wish they took the time to correctly input the correct info

Most of all, they have been kind and caring with my dogs, who act more like scaredy cats than dogs at any vet. I appreciate their phone calls to follow up with questions I have. After taking her home Pyper began vomiting and defecating on herself. By the time we returned to the clinic she had started seizing. It was after hours so my husband and daughter played the vets assistants-helping to hold Pyper down and intubate her. The doctor opened her back up and found a "bleeder" in her words. Ultimately our sweet baby girl passed. The doctor took no responsibility for her botched surgery. In fact, she asked if we had rat poisoning in or around our house that she could have gotten into or if Pyper had a blood disorder . Keep in mind this clinic did a pre-exam to approve her for the surgery. This doctor never took the time to call and check on my daughter knowing what a horrific traumatic experience this was for her and my husband. We understand accidents do happen but her lack of compassion, empathy and accountability is appalling. If our experience saves just one furry friend it will be worth the time to share our heartbreaking experience. RIP baby girl!

Animal doctor found that there were open wounds on his face from being attacked by an animal (most likely a raccoon), but it was covered by his hair (so I had no idea). They sedated him, cleaned the wound, finished his grooming, and sent me home with antibiotics and pain meds, all for $100. I was so pleased they took such good care of him and will never go anywhere else for grooming (and everything else). They were understaffed when I went, but still took ample time to explain everything to me and were so nice to my pup. They called me to provide updates and asked before doing anything that would cost more than what was expected. Next month I'm taking him to get some teeth pulled/dental cleaning, and I feel very confident he'll be left in good hands. Also should note - on a normal day (no open wounds), his grooming would only cost $45 here, which is cheaper than PetSmart or Petco, even with their military discount. AND I get peace of mind that he will be cared for properly and taken out to relieve himself. My pup also has major anxiety and typically everywhere we go I get judgement like it's my fault. But not here! They know how to handle animals with these types of issues and don't place the blame on the owner. They did recommended I might bring him in more often (which may sound like a sales ploy) but I could tell they were really wanting to help me get his anxiety under control. I put him on a 6 week grooming routine which also gives me a discount. I think it's going to be perfect for my pup! They also are very upfront about pricing. They take the time to go through quotes and tell you exactly what needs to be done, and what is optional. I'm so incredibly happy I took my pup here!

Regarding grooming: They have "samples" of what the length of fur will be after the groom that are inaccurate, and after telling you that they know the "synthetic hair samples" are inaccurate they do nothing about it to fix the issue. Additionally, they do not attend to notes of what to do. For example, when asked to shave inside of dogs ear (to better manage issues), they did not. None of what was requested met anything close to satisfaction or even acceptable. When confronted about it, they did nothing more than "oh well." Money down the drain, as I already have set up a grooming appointment with another group (4 days from now). Regarding vet services: I had just finished an appointment 5 days ago at their sister office (AD Westside) where my dog had an exam and received some medication for an allergy medication. Their sister office recommended the groomers and said that once I had the forms of what vaccines my dog had from a previous vet office (we just moved), that Blue Hills could administer any vaccines needed prior to the groom. I brought the forms and asked to do the needed vaccines and the grooming, along with a fecal exam (as it was timely). They apparently did an "annual exam," which I did not ask for, as I told them when we arrived for drop of that he just had an exam at their sister office. My point here is to be careful. Read everything they give you, because I misplaced my trust in thinking that what they would say is what I was seeing in an invoice. However that was not the case. Read the other reviews, trust the negative ones for what they are. Sure they were "friendly," but I needed services done accurately and not such that I have to have them redone or where they are redoing an exam that I had just paid for 5 days previously. Honestly I wish I could have given 0 stars for this review. There are other places in and out of town that will better meet your needs, my advice would be to go somewhere else.
