She paired me with a horse that relates with my energy and skill level aka how good of a rider I am. Mel was confident in me, which made me confident in myself! I used to ride as a kid but I'm almost 30 years old, it's been a while. The two hour ride was absolutely perfect. The horses are so chill. They are great listeners and follow the pack! You don't have to worry about a horse going in a different direction because they seamlessly follow one another! It's truly such a wonderful experience. I recommend making a reservation over the phone and going asap because there's nothing better than being in nature, w/ friends, and horses on a gorgeous day in Vermont. We met Deb at the end, she was great to meet! Love her home, horses, and appreciate her business so much. We will definitely be back soon. Thank you!

When I attempted to enter the studio, I saw Lora on all fours disinfecting her mat and assumed the class had not yet begun. She looked up and reprimanded me, saying, "Are you taking my class? You are five minutes late." I was surprised by this response, as the class had not officially begun, and I was actually only approximately three to four minutes late. I have never experienced this type of treatment from any of the other instructors. They have always been welcoming and courteous, whether I arrived early, on time, or a few minutes late. Unfortunately, this interaction left me feeling unwelcome and uncomfortable. As a result, I do not intend to attend another class taught by Lora.

Phenomenal trail!! Definitely in my top 5 fave hikes - especially for the fall colors (my visit was…read morein early October)!! And it's a killer workout too! The view from the top is breathtaking- but not for the faint of heart - I have a fear of heights and it took me a while to work up the nerve to go sit on the edge lol! AllTrails has this trail labeled as "moderate" - but it was insanely muddy and very wet when I hiked it - took me ages and totally wore me out - so in those conditions I'd call it moderate-hard. And also with the rock scrambling at the top - it can be quite difficult. Very steep and especially narrow at the top - can be dangerous if you're not careful. I did a total of 2 miles round trip - it's an out and back trail. In those 2 miles, my tracker showed an 800 foot elevation gain so it's definitely a butt burner. And along the trail there are numerous areas of rock scrambling (some are very steep) and stream crossings during the wet season - get ready to be covered in mud lol! You will definitely need decent hiking shoes - and poles would've been so helpful I think! There were quite a few other hikers around. The trails are very well marked with colorful tree badges - but in some spots between the markers, I needed my trail map bc the ground was covered in leaves and mud and it wasn't as obvious. Once you get to the top of Table Rock, the stunning view will absolutely take your breath away! It's a sweeping vista of the entire forest area with the lake and resort below to the left and the long stretch of road through the park to the right - perfect for taking in all the colorful autumn splendor!! The top is a long, very narrow and flat tableau. It seems pretty stable - but has extremely steep (and deadly!) drop offs either side and no safety rails or fencing or anything so be aware. Drones aren't allowed in the park (according to the State Park website) but someone was flying one and buzzing us closely at the top which made it very distracting and scary unfortunately. Dogs are allowed - there were many on the trail and at the top. Parking is a small dirt lot pull out on the side of the road at the trailhead - Google maps took me right to it (just put in Table Rock Trailhead). It's located in Dixville Notch State Park (you can see my review of that for more detailed info). The park doesn't have bathrooms that I could find. And I think it's free. I didn't see any fee areas and their website doesn't list it as a fee area.

The trails were perfect - we went from wide trails, to backwoods and even across the lake! I can't stress enough how cool the experience was for our whole group.

This trip we were looking for something different and came across Snowmobile Vermont in our search. They have four locations, one right at Mount Snow. They offer 2-hour day and night guided Snow mobile tours. We booked a 2-hour tour at 3pm for three people. The company's email receipt and reminder confirmation the night before our trip were professional and welcomed. They gave us information on what to wear, where to be and how early to arrive. We arrived at Mount Snow around 2:15 for the 3pm tour. There are signs guiding you upstairs to the tour center. When we arrived we were invited to sit around a cozy table in a room with a roaring stone fireplace. We signed wavers and waited for others to arrive. The safety demonstration by Mark was informative, and provided us with the confidence we needed to have a great experience. He was interesting and professional with some welcomed humor sprinkled in. Once we walked outside we were met by our guides. They spilt the groups up and our guide, Jeff, was waiting for us outside. He immediately got us on our snowmobiles and had us off and running. Our group of three were the only people in our group making for a great experience. Jeff had us stop from time to time to check in, wipe off our foggy visors and make sure we were ok. He even took photos of us and chat with us for a bit during our half-way break. Jeff was professional and personal. Our experience with Mount Snow Snowmobile Vermont was incredible. What a great, exhilarating experience. The staff was top notch - it's a must-do during any winter season.
