I want to give a huge shoutout to Six Chuters Charter in Marco Island for making my birthday…read morefishing trip unforgettable! My wife booked a deep-sea fishing adventure for me, but as the day approached, the weather took a turn for the worse--cold and windy conditions. However, the team communicated with us ahead of time, offering the option to reschedule or go ahead with the trip. We decided to go for it, and I'm so glad we did! Captain Kevin met us at Rose Marina, and we set off full of anticipation. Unfortunately, the Gulf was too rough, so we had to turn around. Instead of giving up, Captain Kevin took us to some backcountry fishing spots to wait for the winds to settle. After a couple of hours, he offered us the choice to either call it a day and go back without any charge, or try again to head out to the Gulf. We decided to give it one more go--and this time, it paid off! Captain Kevin got us on a huge variety of fish, including Snapper, Mackerel, Ladyfish, Grouper, and even a Lionfish! We caught fish non-stop until our cooler was packed full, and we had an absolute blast doing it. What could have been a canceled trip turned into the perfect day, all thanks to Captain Kevin's persistence and dedication. As a bonus, Captain Kevin cleaned 72 oz. of fresh Snapper fillets, and we were able to feed our entire party of nine at Cocomo's! Thank you, Captain Kevin, for going above and beyond to ensure we had such an amazing time. We'll definitely be back for more!

I ended up booking two four hour excursions with two different companies - one on a Saturday and one on Sunday. I would be curious what the difference would be. Of the two, Reel Kind was the more "low key" version and a bit more disorganized. A four hour tour is $130 per person + gratuity (paid in cash to the captain). Compared to my other experience, I kinda felt like we just got dropped off and told to come back "when you're done." It's about a 15-20 minute ride out each way to some of the various islands / mangrove islets. The boats are small, captains only carry licenses that allow them 6 passengers so that's a plus - no huge groups. Timing is based on low tide schedules so every day will be a different time. This particular day we went to Kice and Dickmans. Kice was great shelling; after about 1.5 hrs, most of us were "done" (it was brutally hot) and we just all kinda of made our own way back to the boat. Then once everybody showed up, we were taken over to the next spot a few minutes away. Dickmans ended up being a bust. Overall, a decent basic experience if you just want to be taken back and forth. Our captain was very nice, but not very informative or helpful.

Spent most of our trip fishing about 5 Miles out on a man made reef. We caught some Spanish Mackerel, blue runners, sheeps head, and even a puffer fish. One of the best parts of the trip was the 1 hour plus fight with a Goliath Grouper my buddy had. He didn't bring it in, but the fight was intense and long before the line broke. Captain Glen even took a detour on the way back in to get a phot in front of the JW Marriot where my buddy got married that weekend. We also spent some time getting up close to some dolphins feeding along the sea wall. I would recommend Captain Glen to anyone and will def book him in advance of our next visit!

The girls limited out on snapper, which made for a very tasty dinner at the Island Gypsy (one of the Captains and his wife, Admiral June's, recommendations). On the outing we saw Dolphins playing in the wild around the boat and in the wake, the show was incredible as you can see from some photos posted. Captain Glen was recomended to us by some trusted friends. With the hospitality, over all experience, and the gentle kind manor he treated our girls we couldn't help but Recommend him to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, capable and all around great Captain.
