I was very disappointed! I used their space and paid in advance for 100 meals for a funeral dinner…read more When I arrived, nobody greeted or even acknowledged I was there. We had a seat and some time later, somebody came out and started putting more food on the table. When he left, we all just kind of sat there- not knowing if it was ready to be served yet or not. I finally just invited everybody to come up and eat. The food was good, but I do not feel that there was sufficient food for 100. We probably had 50 people there. People were not going back for seconds. I would think there should have been a lot of beef-n-noodles left over. There was nothing leftover. I brought home some mashed potatoes, maybe a dozen rolls, and some lettuce. I would hate to think of what would have happened if we did have 100 people. Either enough food wasn't made, or it wasn't brought out and given to me to take home. And then when we were done eating, we just got up and walked out. Nobody acknowledge me/us at all. No thanks for your business. No goodbye. No, we're sorry for your loss. I spent $2500 for food and there certainly wasn't a lot of it. I tipped well and didn't even get so much as a hello/goodbye. I contacted the hall to discuss my disappointment and was told the owner was going to call me. A week has gone by and nobody has reached out. I will never go there again.

We tried for the last time to enjoy the Mother's Day brunch. Our family has been disappointed 2…read moreyears in a row. Online it states that the coffee bar is included in the brunch, this was not the case. It's tacky to have a full service brunch and have your guests pay for coffee. Even the black coffee??? Come on. I understand charging for the bar but don't say one thing on your website and then hustle guests when they get there. Half the time, there was no prime rib available. Mind you, there were plenty of empty tables. It is not like they were extremely busy. The quantity of people in the restaurant has changed significantly as it used to be packed. The food was overall cold, the selection was different than what was listed online. We did not have access to plates for the duration of the meal, did not receive any service with water refills or really anything. Our plates stayed piled up on our table. We really wanted things to be different and continue a tradition of coming for Mother's Day but after two years in a row of this, we will not be returning.

Let me begin by saying, I was really hopeful my for the best. Based on the reviews I was sure we…read morewould be using this cute little place as a "meet in the middle" for our family. However. Our evening turned out like this. It was 5:30pm we entered the restaurant and stood patiently in the family dining area . No one came. We sent a scout to the bar upstairs. He came down and told us that we could bring the 8 year old up if we sat in the hallway but it seated 4. Our scout carried a chair upstairs for our 5th party. We waited another 8 min. No one came . After 10 min. We prepared to leave . A server said, " are you leaving?". Yes! And we left. This was a Friday night experience. The server was there by herself. She was intending to cook-serve and bar tend. I wish this place the best. It's adorable. Since I can't judge the food or really the service, my suggestion is to call ahead and see if they are staffed and ready.

Quaint quiet town! The reception area is large and the depot is fantastic Just found out that a band plays here every Thursday. I bet this place will be hopping. Seriously, I wish we were sticking around longer- ordered the bean soup - husband says it's hot and good. Salmon sandwiches and steak burger. Side options are chips or applesauce. The food smells great while we wait. Pop is flat. Beer is cold. Water is wet. Gnat season is in full swing. Food is good. Nothing to ring a bell over but a solid dinner while traveling on 30. Just a mile off the highway!! Would I come back - sure, nothing but miles behind me and more in front of me to make this place a super spot for us to have made a reservation!!!

Went here for Thanksgiving brunch. No complaints on the food. Great selection of choices and the…read morefood taste was decent. Issues were the lack of staffing. They had no one behind the bar who could poor drinks. Only had 2 people on staff who could serve drinks and one of them was collecting at the door. They lacked enough bussers. Our plates piled up on our table and no one came by to fill our waters. Totally unacceptable. They also don't allow enough time between sittings. A friend who had reservations for 1:30pm was still waiting at 2:30pm to be sat. Place food wise does a good job but lacks greatly in other areas

The contract didn't allow for it, so the owner begrudgingly allowed our event to take place without fee. At the last minute, the invoice included an extra $30 worth of tax not lined out in the contract. The owner was so upset with the whole thing that he made it a point to tell me right before the event that we "didn't have a contract signed by him, so we had to leave." The event was already set up, so he was "joking." While he thought it was funny, it really upset me and almost set the tone for the event for me. His customer service was absolutely awful, and I'm was surprised he mentioned how the small business works by "word of mouth." He must not understand that concept as he was incredibly rude. I would offer a word of caution while working with Christo's and will personally never support their banquet hall or restaurants again. That being said, the manager, Karla, was wonderful; the server, Amelia, was perfect; and the bartender has a great presence that added to our event.
