It's a proper neighborhood butcher shop on Butler Street, the kind of place that had mostly disappeared around here. They do whole animal butchery with meat sourced from local Pennsylvania farms, and you can feel how much the folks working there care about what they're doing. It's not a huge space, just a display case full of cuts, a wall of house made goods, and a small sandwich menu, but that's part of the charm. The staff were friendly and happy to point me in the right direction. The sandwiches are what really got me though. The smash burger is fantastic, a double patty on a challah bun with that special sauce, and you can actually taste the quality of the beef, which makes sense given the whole operation is built around good meat. I also grabbed some of their house made pastrami, and it did not disappoint, tender and full of flavor. Knowing everything is made in house, right down to the bacon and sausages, makes it even better. If you live nearby and don't have a butcher yet, this is the one.

I'm positive that if I went back to the shop they would've remedied the situation, but I didn't feel it was necessary! The sandwich we did end up with was good as well, unsure which one it was though. Very fair prices, and our dog was so happy we brought him home a bone as well! Customers may purchase the chocolates through the business's website or from several Pittsburgh-area stores. Examples of products are a chocolate tree, chocolate gift box, truffles, and chocolates in flavors such as almond, caramel, coffee, coriander, date, hazelnut, orange, passion fruit, peanut, pecan, pistachio, raspberry, speculoos, tea, and vanilla. I bought the Chocolate Assortment No. 1 that contained 24 pieces of dark, milk, white, and other chocolates for $45. Shipping cost $15. Compared to other Pittsburgh-area chocolatiers, the price for these chocolates was higher. The business shipped my package to me the next day, and FedEx delivered it to me one day later. The chocolates looked fancy and were a good quality. My favorite flavors were the mendiant (gianduja hazelnuts), caramel, passion fruit, raspberry, manon (white chocolate ganache with caramel), croquant (hazelnuts), and pacci (slightly different hazelnuts).
