Brand new place in Orland Park on LaGrange Road. I am extremely impressed! I don't think there is any meat type that they don't sell? And I mean, alligator, ostrich, venison, etc. Of course they have what I buy which is the normal chicken, steak, etc. But they have it all. And I will tell you that the quality, taste and flavor are over the top! I have to say that this is the best meat we have ever purchased. Everything they sell is fresh but flash frozen. They butcher their own meat and there main feature is their healthiness. Their meats have no preservatives, dyes, etc. Many of their items are really expensive but they also have a lot of great values. We purchased the sweet sausage, pork roast, pumpkin pie and apple pie. On two visits. Actually ended up getting a second pumpkin pie on our second visit as this is the best pumpkin pie I have ever had in my life. All the meats were amazing. Wild Fork opened recently so I stopped in to see what they have and I liked what I saw. First off, everything is frozen. Don't show up expecting a shop this size to have fresh stuff, there's no way they could move it all without a bunch of spoilage. - Wild Fork has stuff you won't find elsewhere, like ground yak, ostrich and wild boar. The selection is excellent. - They have a killer deal on 85% lean ground beef for 4 something a pound, which is what I'd pay for the discounted soon-to-expire stuff at Mariano's. - Service was really friendly. - The store is clean and well organized. I left with a pork tenderloin, turkey breast, and a package of meatloaf mix. I used the mix last night in my meatloaf recipe and it was really good. I'll stick with Freedom Butchers for most of my needs but will be back to Wild Fork for the ground beef deal (I need it to make food for my cat) and a few other things. read more

Not a restaurant, it's a store. Found it to be very clean and the employees were nice. However that's all the good I can say. I bought a couple packages each of boneless skinless chicken breasts and thighs and they were expensive but supposed to be great quality so that's ok. Well they certainly were not. I have been shopping at Wild Fork since the store opened in Oak Park. I was in the store this Saturday and unbeknownst to me, I asked when the store would be opening in Orland Park, the young gentleman told me that it opened just a few says ago and is doing very well. Great to hear, because Wild Fork is the store to go to for all of your wild game and grass fed, aged, meats. But they have everything else under the sun; poultry, fish, Berkshire pork products, frozen fruits and vegetables and much, much, more. Clean and immaculate. And if you don't see it, they will be happy to order it for you! And the BEST part of this experience is Wild Fork makes it affordable for everyone to enjoy. Their staff is amazing too. I always cook duck on New Year's Day. This year I decided to try a duck from Wild Fork Foods. It was spectacular! Honesty, I didn't realize until now how inferior the ducks that I had been buying at the grocery store were - and the price per pound was the same. The meat was way more flavorful and tender in the Culver Farms duck I got from Wild Fork. I am now completely spoiled. Can't wait to try some of their other products. read more

Visited the wild Fork yesterday afternoon, already knowing what I was going to purchase... strip steaks, ribs, filet mignon, ribeyes, etc. I couldn't wait to stare in front of the fresh meat butcher shop, and pick out what I wanted. Upon entering, to my complete disappointment, it looked like I walked into an Aldi. Open air coolers, flavor pack frozen vegetables along with frozen desserts and frozen EVERYTHING! I took a courtesy stroll through the few aisles, did speak with an employee that I expressed my disappointment with no fresh meat. Apparently their business model is slaughter and quick freeze to guarantee freshness, which may be true.. I'm not looking to pay top dollar for a frozen piece of meat. So much for the impulse driving home from work let's stop in and get a couple steaks for tonight's dinner. Just my opinion, but I don't see this concept working. Too much competition around especially Costco a mile away, which is where I went and bought my ribeyes and grilled last night. Time will tell ... read more
